New iPhone 11 release – This phone’s best new features may have just been unmasked

New iPhone 11 is the presumed name for Apple’s next batch of smartphones that, if they follow tradition, could be unveiled in September.

Rumours surrounding the new hardware have been swirling since January – it is expected the Cupertino-based tech giant will introduce three new iPhone models this year, the same amount that debuted in 2018.

It has been tipped successors to the iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max and iPhone XR are all in the works – each of which looks set to be substantially upgraded.

One of the most prominent leaks surrounding Apple’s new hardware concerns each flavour’s camera system.

The successors to the iPhone Xs and Xs Max have been speculated to come with a trio of sensors on their rear encased in a new square housing.

OnLeaks was the first to make such a claim and showcased alleged renders of an iPhone 11 model with a new camera module back in January.

In addition to a primary and telephoto sensor, the iPhone 11 has been tipped to come with an ultra wide-angle shooter.

If true, this would not only provide the iPhone 11 with Apple’s most diverse camera system yet, but it would also help the smartphone catch up to a swathe of Android rivals such as the OnePlus 7 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 that already feature such technology.

The iPhone 11R has been said to come with a dual camera system that could forgo an ultra wide-angle lens.

Instead it has been tipped the hardware could instead feature a primary and telephoto snapper.

While it seems the rear camera system of Apple’s 2019 iPhones could be braced for a major upgrade, it seems the devices may also tout a host of other notable improvements, too.

9to5Mac recently issued a report, citing people who have seen the new iPhone 11 models, declaring each will be powered by a new processor in the form of Apple’s A13 Bionic.

The outlet corroborated claims Apple will once again release three new iPhone variants this year.

The trio were stated to come with the same displays as their respective predecessors – meaning the iPhone 11 and 11 Max will once again flaunt OLED panels while the iPhone 11R will tout an LCD Retina display.

The resolutions offered by each was said to be the same, too.

9to5Mac also claimed each new iPhone will house a new Taptic Engine – the fresh features of the hardware were not discussed.

Apple has been rumoured to be planning to ditch its 3D Touch feature that debuted on the iPhone 6s back in 2015 – it is possible the new engine could help to deliver an alternative to such functionality.

In terms of software, the new premium iPhones were said to tout a feature dubbed Smart Capture.

This, it was claimed, means if a user takes a photo with the device’s primary camera a secondary shot will also be taken with its ultra wide-angle module, providing the user with more information and allowing them to more creatively crop the photo or adjust its framing.

Finally, it was stated the iPhone 11’s front camera will also receive the ability to record slow motion video at up to 120 frames per second.

While the claims mentioned above will surely excite many fans, it is worth noting Apple has not officially confirmed any details about its next batch of handsets.
