As Mate 20 Pro deals continue a blockbuster Huawei upgrade is released today

Huawei’s P20 Pro is almost a year old and that means its price continues to tumble.

SIM-free plans now start from under £600 and there are plenty of contract deals which allow you to pop this stunning flagship in your pocket for around £25 per month.

These offers are all very good especially as the Mate 20 Pro is regarded as one of the best devices of the past year.

However, before you rush out to pick up one of these discounts it’s worth noting that Huawei has just released a major upgrade to the Mate 20 range.

The new Mate 20 X (5G) goes on sale today in the UK and allows users to access superfast network speeds.

5G is the future of your phone with Vodafone, EE, Three Mobile and O2 all committing to this technology which can allow you to access the web at over 300Mbps – around 10 times faster than what is currently available.

Not only will the Mate 20 X (5G) bring very quick downloads but it also features a giant 7.2-inch OLED screen, triple rear camera and 4,200mAh battery.

There’s also a fast Huawei Kirin 980 processor, SuperCharge refill option and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Speaking about the launch, Anson Zhang, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group UK, said “We will always put our consumers first, regardless of the challenges we face and this announcement demonstrates the continued confidence in Huawei from customers and partners.

“We also have a responsibility to make it clear to consumers that nothing has changed and we are confident about the future, and will always ensure our consumers enjoy the best possible experience on their Huawei devices.

“We are grateful to our millions of loyal consumers in the UK – and we will soon welcome millions more.”

This Mate 20 X (5G) will be available from today with Three, Sky Mobile and Carphone Warehouse.

It arrives in Emerald Green (Dual Sim) and will set you back £999.

There’s currently no word if it will be compatible with Vodafone or EE with these networks the first to launch 5G in the UK.

Three Mobile will start beaming this signal to areas next month with O2 just confirming its launch will take place in October.
