Nutty Walking Tour of Nottingham

You may not realise it but Nottingham has plenty of quirky history. It’s claim to fame is firmly rooted in Robin Hood – the legendary outlaw who eluded the Sheriff of Nottingham – and Brian Clough OBE one of the most famous English football players and manager (of Nottingham Forest Club) of the 60s and 70s.

You’ll see the larger than life statue of Brian Clough in the heart of the city in defiant pose.

There’s lots of amazing architecture that can only be found here built by Watson Fothergill an English architect who designed over 100 unique buildings in Nottingham.

The Sheriff points out a small statue of Queen Victoria looking quite miserable. Apparently the two didn’t like each other and Queen Victoria was not amused.

And so it goes on often with plenty of humour for a full-on 90 minutes with a quick stop over for a pint of the local brew in the Pitcher and Piano pub/bur that was once a church.
