PlayStation 4 owners are in store for a big surprise at next week’s EVO fighting games tournament.
It looks like Sony and EVO organisers are planning some sort of reveal for the annual event taking place in Las Vegas.
Taking place from August 2 until August 4, the Evolution Championship Series (otherwise known as EVO) is the longest-running tournament dedicated to beat-em-ups.
As the EVO social media team points out, eight out of nine games featured at the event are presented by PS4.
This includes Street Fighter 5 Arcade Edition, Samurai Showdown, Soul Calibur 6, Tekken 7 and Mortal Kombat 11.
The only featured game not available on PS4 is Switch exclusive Super Smash Bros Ultimate.
According to a recent EVO tweet, fans can expect more PlayStation news to be revealed during the event.

One PS4-centric announcement almost certain to take place is the reveal of more Street Fighter 5 DLC characters.
Season 4 has so far only produced Kage, so fans are expecting another five fighters to be revealed sooner rather than later.
It’s possible we’ll also get a new game reveal, or perhaps more news about the fabled Tekken X Street Fighter 3D fighter that was announced back in 2010.
There’s also a chance NetherRealm could be on hand to announce the Nightwolf release date for Mortal Kombat 11.
Recent reports suggest Nightwolf will launch for Season Pass holders on August 13.
As for the EVO tournament itself, fans can register to attend and buy tickets through the event website.
“Our tournaments are about more than just winning,” reads the event description.
“Evo is open to anyone, feature stations available for relaxed free play, and offer unique opportunities to meet people from different countries and different walks of life who share your passion.
“Established champions face off against unknown newcomers, and new rivals that might have only talked or fought online meet up and become old friends.”
