R&B crooner Brian McKnight’s spotlight is still shining — even if some fans have to look a little harder to find him.
McKnight says he’s all over social media, including Instagram, and his music is still charting. And, he says he’s still booking 150 shows every year.
The 17-time Grammy nominated artist discussed his latest project, “Bedtime Story,” while on a July tour stop in New Orleans. The album was released in June.
McKnight, now 50, says he’s been asked several times over the years to make an entire record dedicated to love and all that that entails. “Bedtime Story,” he says, is 60 minutes of love-making music that fans can just press play “and let it flow.”
McKnight says he’s fortunate that there are people who still want to hear him sing the songs he’s created, some more than 20 years ago. He says his joy is seeing their faces when he sings something they recognize.
