Money Heist season four is hoped for by fans after the third series was dropped on Netflix in its entirety on Friday (July 19).
Series three reunites the original gang to undertake heists directed by criminal mastermind El Professor (played by Álvaro Morte).
In order to save one of their own, Rio (Miguel Herran), from the Panama authorities, the team reunite to by steal the gold from the Bank of Spain.
The Spanish original crime-drama has gone on to become Netflix’s biggest non-English language series since it began in 2017.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF LA CASA DE PAPEL?
Now, the show creator has confirmed that La Casa de Papel will be returning for another series on the streaming platform.
Álex Pina said the story of the cast of characters is not yet over so they will be coming back again for series four.
According to Spanish publication elPeriódico, the creator made the announcement at a press conference back in June.
He said: “They’re a group of people who still have a lot to say. It took us quite a long time to decide, we wanted to respect our work.
“The success of the series around the world has been so crazy.”
Season one of the hit show was released on Netflix in May, 2017 with series two appearing soon after in October, 2017.
Fans were then made to wait until July, 2019 for the third season of the show to be released.
However, when the series renewal was announced in June, it was hinted that filming could have already begun on part four.
WHERE IS LA CASA DE PAPEL SET?
This means that La Casa de Papel could be with viewers sooner than they think.
Netflix has not yet officially confirmed the renewal of the show, but it is expected to come in the next few months.
There’s no news about when a potential fourth series of the show could make it to our screens.
The returning cast for season four has not yet been announced, but it is expected many of the major characters will be coming back.
This includes Álvaro Morte as El Professor, Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo and Esther Acebo as Mónica Gaztambide.
