Ultimate Vodafone deal eclipses Three Mobile – just beware of the catch

If you own your smartphone outright or have just ended your contract then now is a good time to find a new deal.

All of the big networks are vying for your business and there’s a number of deals which now offer fully unlimited data.

Three has been well known for allowing its customers to get endless access to the web and social media but Vodafone also recently joined the unlimited data party.

The firm’s latest offerings allow consumers head online for as long as they like without fear of any extra charges.

These plans start from £22 per month but one online retailer has just launched a deal which drops this price to as low as £10.

Fonehouse is giving anyone who signs up to a Vodafone unlimited SIM the chance to get cashback or a free PlayStation Classic.

For example, if you take out the Unlimited SIM • DEAL HERE • you’ll get £192 back which means you’ll only pay £10 per month over the term of the deal.

There’s also a reduction on the Unlimited Entertainment SIM which gives you £192 cashback meaning you’ll only pay £16 per month once the refund has been applied.

And the Unlimited Lite SIM comes with a free PlayStation Classic.

These are clearly good deals for anyone wanting a cheap contract and the ability to use as much data as they like – there’s even 5G included if you have a compatible phone.

However, there is a catch and it’s worth noting before signing up.

Both of the deals above have a download speed limit which may affect how you use your phone.

The cheapest unlimited option is restricted to 2Mbps and the Unlimited Entertainment will only allow files to beamed to your phone 10Mbps.

These speeds are pretty slow and we certainly wouldn’t recommend the 2Mbps for anyone wanting to stream content on the move.

It’s also worth noting that Three still has some good unlimited deals

In a new discount, the firm is giving customers a SIM which includes 8GB of data plus unlimited calls and texts for £10 per month.

The deal even includes Three’s Go Roam service which means you can use your phone in over 70 countries without fear of extra charges.

If you do think you’ll need more data then you can still take advantage of Three’s unlimited SIM which is currently on offer with the first 6 months at half price.

That means you’ll pay just £11 before the contract rises back to £22 for the remainder of the deal.
