Susan Boyle: BGT star sparks fears she's set to QUIT new show amid huge comeback

Susan Boyle, 58, was due to appear in Simon Cowell’s new spin-off Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions, which is to begin filming this week, but now things may not go according to plan. The singer has been very busy recently with the release of her eighth studio album Ten and it’s now been been reported she may pull out of the show due to a scheduling clash. A show insider told The Sun: “Susan’s had a busy year with her ten year anniversary plans, she’s got a packed schedule. “She’s done America’s Got Talent: The Champions and has dropped her eighth studio album Ten – it’s been non-stop.

“She was excited to be asked to take part in the show, but has got so much on she doesn’t know if she can make it work.”

A spokesperson for the singer also added to the publication: “Susan has a busy year ahead with lots of performances coming up, trips to the US, headlining BBC Proms in September, as well as preparing for her upcoming tour.

“She is enjoying celebrating the decade since she first appeared on BGT and her life changing for the better.

“She loved being part of AGT Champions and, whether she is able to make it or not, wishes the contestants taking part on BGT Champions the best of luck.”

Express.co.uk have contacted Susan Boyle’s representatives for comment.

It comes after Britain’s Got Talent winners Diversity, who beat Susan in 2009, have also pulled out of the new spin-off series.

The group’s member Ashley Banjo said: “Who would have thought ten years ago when we won BGT we would be preparing for our biggest tour yet, Born Ready.

“While we are unable to take part, we wish all the acts the best of luck.”

Following the success of America’s Got Talent: The Champions earlier this year, the British series will feature a number of finalists and winners who will be heading back to the stage where it all began in a bid to be crowned the ultimate performer.

Former contestants expected to be taking part in the show include singer Paul Potts and dance duo Stavros Flatley.

Elsewhere, Susan has revealed her future plans once her career “quietens down”.

The Britain’s Got Talent 2009 runner-up said she would love to foster children when she takes a break from her busy schedule

Spilling all to The Sun: “I’m 58 so I’ve got something to bring my family home to. I’ve a lovely house, why not share it? I’ve got a couple who think the world of me. I love kids.”

Susan went on to say her “biggest regret” is not having her own children, adding: “They’re good fun to be with.”

The performer is set to embark on a 15 UK tour date next March.

Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions is expected to air later this year.
