The BBC star poked fun at Piers by re-tweeting a photo of the ITV GMB co-anchor taking part in the latest viral craze, the FaceApp challenge. Dan captioned the tweet: “Is that the stress of trying to compete with BBC breakfast? Have a nice holiday.” Dan’s followers began discussing the BBC star’s jibe saying how Piers looked exactly the same.
One user said: “It doesn’t look like it’s worked on Piers Morgan.”
Another user tweeted: “Don’t see the difference to be fair.”
Others compared began comparing the two breakfast shows and their hosts.
One person said: “ITV show and Piers is tired and washed out, BBC is like freshly laundered washing not hung out to dry like Piers.”
Another bluntly replied: “He’s no competition for the BBC mate.”

Dan also took part in the FaceApp challenge last week which allows users to see what they would look like aged 80.
Dan’s followers began discussing the people he looked similar to which included Piers and TV chef Gordon Ramsay.
One user wrote: “Looks fresher faced than a 20-year-old Gordon Ramsey (sic).”
One user tweeted: “Gordon Ramsay… after a facelift.”
Comparisons to Gordon were rife with another posting: “Deffo Gordon.”
Another bluntly wrote: “Piers Morgan.”
Others seemed to agree with two users even tagging Piers into their replies.
FaceApp was released in 2017, but it has only gone viral in recent weeks.
Several celebrities have made use of the ageing feature on Twitter and Instagram.
The app uses artificial intelligence to edit photos allowing users to add smiles and make people look younger.
Other users suggested Dan looked like George Bush Sr or Neighbours star Alan Dale.
