PS4 Surprise UPDATE: Download new FREE PlayStation game bonus

PS4 gamers have a new choice of free trials and game experiences to pick from this week on the PlayStation Store.

July has seen a steady stream of new content arrive for PlayStation gamers, some of it proving to be free-to-play.

There’s also a lot of new demos and trials to check out of full games that won’t be disappearing anytime soon.

Some of these game experiences require a PS Plus membership, although most free-to-play titles skip this.

And this includes one of the latest launches on the PlayStation Store which can be downloaded right now.

PS4 gamers can check out the Growtopia port published by Ubisoft and available to play via the PSN, today.

Described as an open-world Sandbox experience, Growtopia has already proven very popular on several different platforms.

Growtopia is an Open World 2D MMO that provides plenty of freedom and scope for those looking for something new to try out.

And weighing in at less than 1GB to download, it’s a very easy game to fit on your PS4 hard drive.

As mentioned above, the official PS Store page does not mention needing to have an active PS Plus account to play online.

“It’s a multiverse of unlimited worlds with astonishing opportunities to have fun, build stuff and meet new friends,” the official game description explains.

“Players can create mind-bending worlds with friends and fill them with anything their heart desires!

“There are no limits for fun – just countless worlds where you create literally anything – castles, dungeons, skyscrapers, artwork, and puzzles – even your favourite movie scenes.

“Play thousands of mini-games generated by other players! From parkour and races to PVP battles and ghost hunting.

“We do our best to entertain you with exciting monthly updates involving new items and events.”

Growtopia has only been available on PS4 for a few days so fans shouldn’t be surprised by server bumps as the game gets up to speed with its growing audience.

Other choices for this weekend include the new indie demo for Songbird Symphony and the launch of the trial version of KILL la KILL – IF, before the full release on July 26.

Another new free-to-play game also launched this month but it not yet available to play in the UK.

Don’t Even Think is currently only available to download from the US PlayStation Store and adds to the growing lineup of Battle Royale games.

It’s a game that sets players against each other in different roles, with the official description revealing:

“Don’t Even Think is an asymmetric PvP survival game. The game gives the battle royale genre a different concept.

“During an intense battle, fighting alone will not be a wise decision. When the time is right, you might get an unexpected result by cooperating with other players. Collect information, analyse the data, and make your strategy work will be the key to your victory.

“Humans need to find weapons and ammo during the cold night. They need to collect the resources and keep themselves warm while looking for the information that will help them escape. By boarding the plane by the dawn, the humans will claim the victory.”

Other F2P choices include Apex Legends Season 2, as well as the recently released monster-hunting experience, Dauntless.

Caravan Stories looks set to be the next free-to-play launch to arrive in July, with a new demo and full release expected in the coming weeks.
