Marvel Studios: All of MCU Phase 4 Announced – IGN News

At Marvel Studios’ panel in Hall H at SDCC on Saturday, Kevin Feige announced there will be 10 projects in Phase 4 for the MCU.First announced is the Eternals for November 6 2020, which is said to be entirely new and different for the MCU. Angelina Jolie is cast as Thena, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Richard Madden as Ikaris, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, and others.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are set for a release date in Fall of 2020. On stage, Anthony Mackie talked about what’s next for Falcon. “I’d like to explore the Falcon as a character. What kind of a man is this man? We’ll find out.”

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been announced with a specific release date of February 12 2021. Feige told the crowd, “The Mandarin is in this film,” who will be played by Tony Leung. A 10 Rings logo was shown in Ant-Man, which Feige alluded that fans probably missed the tease.

WandaVision is next and was announced for Spring 2021. Feige said the show itself is strange, with Elizabeth Olsen adding,”We’re going to get weird, we’re going to go very deep.”

Loki was also announced for Spring 2021, with his series connecting him to Avengers: Endgame. The scene where he steals the Tesseract/Space Stone was played on screen, and Feige said, “This series will tell you what happened to Loki right after that.”

On May 7, 2021 Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released – the second Doctor Strange film in the MCU. Scott Derrickson is directing, and there is a psychedelic weirdness to the movie and will be a gothic horror.

“If I’m going to do it, it’s going to have to do what the comics did,” Derrickson said.

Marvel’s first animation, called What If…? is coming in Summer 2021, and is, “Something Marvel Studios has never had the opportunity to do before,” Feige said.

A Hawkeye TV series was officially announced for a Fall 2021 release, which will star Jeremy Renner. Kate Bishop was also confirmed for the series, but her role is unknown. “We’ll explore more of his time as Ronin,” Feige said on Hawkeye’s character in the show.

Thor 4 officially has a title now, called Thor: Love and Thunder, with Natalie Portman confirmed for the role of female Thor. The movie will be released on November 5, 2021, with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson in the movie as well.

The Black Widow movie premiere date has been announced for May 1, 2020, along with the cast, which includes Stranger Things’ David Harbour. In a clip that was shown in Hall H, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow can be heard saying, “I used to have nothing but then I got this job, this family I was better because of it. But I’ve made mistakes, I can’t go back.” The city of Budapest was also shown, alluding to the prequel taking place in the time period that both Black Widow and Hawkeye have referenced in past Avengers movies.

The Marvel comic from 1973, Blade, has been announced for Phase 4 of the MCU, with Mahershala Ali starring in the movie.
