PS Plus August 2019: Bad news for PlayStation Plus fans ahead of PS4 free games reveal

PS Plus August 2019 line-up is getting revealed this month, but PS4 fans will have to wait awhile longer for the next PlayStation Plus free games reveal.

Sony don’t reveal in advance when they’re going to announce their next PS Plus line-up, but the PS4 free games reveal follows a typical format.

The new PS Plus line-up is typically announced on the final Wednesday of the month, with the new free PS4 games becoming available the following Tuesday.

However, this time around PS Plus fans will be waiting a little while longer to find out what the next free PS4 games will be.

The way this month falls means that the final Wednesday in July is the last day of the month – the 31st.

Typically, PS Plus line-ups get revealed earlier than this – for instance last month it was announced on June 26.

The month before that it was May 29, and the month before that it was even earlier – April 24.

So, PS Plus fans will be waiting longer than usual to find out what are the next free PS4 games and to actually download the games.

The PS Plus August 2019 line-up is set to be announced on Wednesday July 31 with the free PS4 games available to download on Tuesday August 6.

The latest PS Plus news comes after PlayStation Plus fans were delivered a surprise update about the August 2019 line-up.

Last weekend reports emerged that the PS Plus August 2019 line-up had leaked.

It was thought that UFC 3 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 had leaked as the free PS4 games for PS Plus next month.

However, this isn’t the case and these games are just going to be a part of EA Access.

The confusion came as the EA subscription service is launching on July 24 and ahead of the launch date some titles appeared as ‘free with PS Plus’ on the PS Store.

Click here to be directed to the official EA Access website to find out all the games coming with the service.

Titles featured in EA Access include Burnout Paradise Remastered, Battlefield V, NHL 19, Madden 19 and The Sims 4.
