Ivanka Trump weight loss: How does Donald Trump’s daughter maintain her figure?

We’re used to seeing Ivanka Trump on hand at presidential events with her dad, Donald Trump, 73. As an advisor to the president, her role focuses mainly on women and families with her official bio on the White House website revealing: “She focuses on the education and economic empowerment of women and their families as well as job creation and economic growth through workforce development, skills training and entrepreneurship.” Alongside her career at the White House, Ivanka is also a mum-of-three – to Arabella, who turned eight today, Joseph, five, and three-year-old Theodore – with her husband Jared Kushner.

So with her busy schedule, how has the 37-year-old managed to maintain her slim physique?

According to website Eat This, Ivanka decided to switch up her diet when she fell pregnant with her first child in 2011.

The so-called First Daughter reportedly ate “like a teenager… carbs three times a day usually in the form of pizza” before her diet.

Ivanka initially jumped on the juice cleanse, which she called a “total disaster”, adding: “For the eight hours that I lasted, I felt like I was on the brink of starvation. For me, it’s about making the right choices.”

After an unsuccessful journey with juicing however, Ivanka eventually warmed to more nutritious food.

She said: “Slowly, I started to actually enjoy, if not crave, these healthier options. Now healthy eating is the norm for me, especially at breakfast and lunch.”

So what does she eat now?

Ivanka reportedly avoids processed carbs and instead focuses on complex carbohydrates, like whole grains and oats.

In an interview with Insider, she revealed that she starts her day with lemon and water, which has been credited for weight loss due to its low calories.

According to Healthline.com, some evidence has shown that drinking low-calorie beverages with meals could decrease the number of overall calories consumed in the meal.

Ivanka uusally follows her lemon and water with a coffee – which has also been proven to aid weight loss – and something she described as “fancy oats”.

She said: “If they [the kids] choose oatmeal, I get out all sorts of toppings — chia seeds, berries, flaxseed, goji berries, cinnamon, walnuts, and almonds — and the kids get to ‘decorate’ their oatmeal.”

Lunch and dinner is said to consist of healthy protein-based options such as salmon and chicken, or salad.

As well as her diet, Ivanka exercises regularly and has been pictured on jogs with Jared on multiple occasions.

In order to make sure she fits in her workout, Ivanka rises at 5:30am.

Speaking in an interview with My Morning Routine, she revealed: “I get up at 5:30 a.m. and meditate or work out — or both. I like to be fully ready for the day before my children get up so that my mornings are completely focused on them.”

She added: “Meditation is one of the most important things I do each day,” she told My Morning Routine. “I meditate for twenty minutes, ideally twice daily. Sometimes I miss the afternoon session, but I always make the morning one. It’s been invaluable in terms of calming my mind and allowing me to think more clearly.”

Express.co.uk recently revealed who spends more on their outfits out of Ivanka Trump and her step mother Melania.

Both women have been spotted out in designer outfits, with Ivanka said to have spent a whopping £9,000 on outfits for the G20 Summit in Japan last month.

However, fans might be surprised to find out who came out on top.
