09:05 UPDATE: Truth about Arsenal bid for Nicolas Pepe

Arsenal fans hoping reports of a mammoth bid for Nicolas Pepe are true have just been handed a reality check.

The Gunners are understood to have a meagre budget this summer but on Saturday shock reports from France claimed they had offered £72m (€80m) for Pepe.

David Ornstein, who has broken a number of Arsenal stories down the years, has though dismissed the latest speculation.

“Sources tell @BBCSport Arsenal have not submitted a bid for Lille forward Nicolas Pepe and do not have the level of money being reported (€80m) to sign the Ivory Coast international this summer #LOSC #AFC,” Ornstein wrote on Twitter.

08:50 UPDATE: Neymar trolls PSG with Barcelona dig

Neymar has risked the wrath of Paris Saint-Germain by revealing the celebrations after Barcelona’s humiliation of the Ligue 1 giants is his best locker room memory.

Barcelona fought back to beat PSG in the Champions League round of 16 in March 2017 in a stunning 6-5 aggregate win.

And Neymar, who now plays for PSG but wants to return to Barcelona, has recalled the moment fondly, saying: “When we won against PSG with Barcelona, it was completely… we all went crazy afterwards.

“I believe it was the best possible feeling for all of us.”

08:35 UPDATE: Jean Michael Seri latest

AC Milan have joined Roma, Napoli and city rivals Inter Milan in the hunt for wantaway Fulham midfielder Jean Michael Seri.

The Ivorian moved to Craven Cottage last summer with a burgeoning reputation but never lived up to the hype in west London.

Now he wants to quit Fulham as they gear up for a gruelling 46-game campaign back down in the Championship.

Milan are interested in getting Seri on board, but may have to content with Crystal Palace too if the Eagles get back in touch about him.

08:20 UPDATE: Daniel Sturridge handed lifeline

Liverpool cast-off Daniel Sturridge will be offered the chance to kickstart his career by Bologna next season.

Sturridge was let go by Liverpool in the wake of their Champions League final win having run down his contract at Anfield.

Now Bologna are interested in luring the hitman to Italy as he looks to resurrect his reputation as a formidable attacking force.

Sturridge was on £120,000 a week at Liverpool and would want to be paid about the same to head over to Serie A.

08:15 UPDATE: Dani Alves to Man City?

Manchester City will have to hand Dani Alves a £120,000-a-week deal to secure a reunion between the full-back and Pep Guardiola.

Alves enjoyed a trophy-laden stint under Guardiola at Barcelona before going on to play for Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain.

Now the 2019 Copa America winner is a free agent and City are interested in finally landing him, two years after he turned them down.

Alves has also been eyed by former clubs Sevilla and Juve, so City chiefs must get in quick to snap the Brazilian up.

08:05 UPDATE: Philippe Coutinho stance on Man Utd

Manchester United target Philippe Coutinho will turn down any proposals he receives from Old Trafford out of respect for Liverpool.

The Barcelona misfit is a long-term target for the Red Devils, who might need a blockbuster signing if Paul Pogba jumps ship.

However, Express Sport can reveal the Brazilian only has eyes for Anfield if he is to head back to the Premier League.

The former Liverpool star, who left in January 2018, has also been lined up by Paris Saint-Germain in case Neymar leaves.

07:30 UPDATE: Real Madrid offer for Liverpool star Sadio Mane

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane has received an offer to join Real Madrid and should grasp it, claims Senegal FA chief Saer Seck.

“For me I think it’s the best club in the world, even if I am a Barcelona fan I still think Real is the best and Mane should be thinking of that offer seriously,” Seck said.

“The career of a footballer is very short and sometimes you don’t get the chance a lot so if it’s there, and I think Zidane likes him, why not?

“He played in Southampton and when the chance came he took it and went to Liverpool and he has held the challenge well in England.

“I think he will do well with another challenge in another country.”

Express Sport understands Tierney is the No 1 candidate to strengthen the left side of Arsenal’s defence for next season.

And The Sun are now reporting the Gunners have slapped a £25m bid in for the highly-rated Scotland international.

Tierney is said to fancy a move to the Premier League and it now seems a matter of time before a deal is agreed.

06:30 UPDATE: Man Utd at odds over Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward have differing opinions on £70m-man Bruno Fernandes.

The Portuguese midfielder was one of Europe’s top performers last season as he weighed in with a boat-load of goals and assists for Sporting Lisbon.

And Solskjaer is keen to prise him away from his home country, particularly with doubts still surrounding the future of Paul Pogba.

Local newspaper Correio da Manha, though, claim Woodward is not convinced about paying more than £50m for Fernandes because of his lack of Champions League experience.
