MORE ABOUT THIS REVIEW
In May 2019 Weboost released their latest mobile cell phone booster, the Drive Reach. It feels solid and has a very attractive red metal finish with antennas similar to its predecessor the Drive 4G-X. Both boosters claim to boost cell phone signals up to 50 dB. Yet Weboost claims the Drive Reach is the more powerful of the two boosters. How so you ask?

How does the Drive Reach compare to the drive 4G-X?

The Drive Reach has more uplink power giving it the ability to reach cell towers that are further away. In the video I was able to perform a real-life test in a remote location to test this. The results may surprise you as they surprised me.

Other than being red, slightly heavier and providing more “reach” for distant cell towers, the Drive Reach is very similar to the Drive 4G-X. The Reach also has upgraded push-in coax connections that simplify installation.

Drive Reach Signal Boost Compared to Drive 4G-X?

In moderate signal areas, the Reach came out slightly ahead of the Drive 4G-X for boosting signal level by around 5 dB. Where it really shined was in its ability to reach distant cell towers. While testing the Drive Reach in a remote area, I was able to get a usable 4G signal when other boosters would only give me a 3G signal.
