New Zealand 141-4 (34ov)

Mark Wood back in from the Pavilion End having initially been at the Nursery End. He starts well, rapping Ross Taylor on the pad. Appeal goes up… and it’s given! Jimmy Neesham in for the Black Caps now. Replays show that Taylor LBW would have gone over the top! But NZ have no reviews left after Guptill this morning. Wicket-maiden from Mark Wood.

New Zealand 141-3 (33ov)

Feels very much like New Zealand are building towards an assault at the end of their innings. Seven off that Stokes over.

New Zealand 134-3 (32ov)

Back on after drinks and Adil Rashid into his eighth. Four from it. Rashid has 0-39 from eight.

New Zealand 130-3 (31ov)

Ben Stokes replaces Liam Plunkett. Four singles off his first over.

New Zealand 126-3 (30ov)

Adil Rashid manages to string a few dot balls together. And it almost brings a wicket with Taylor charging down the pitch but just gets a bit of bat on it to get it out of the reach of Jos Buttler.

New Zealand 123-3 (29ov)

Plunkett continues. He’s causing New Zealand problems here. Just one off it.

New Zealand 122-3 (28ov)

Two relatively new batsmen at the crease. Can England get another? Not in that over with four off Rashid.

New Zealand 118-3 (27ov)

Good chase from Ben Stokes saves a boundary and Plunkett strikes again! Henry Nicholls drags one on. Tom Latham defends his first ball.

New Zealand 114-2 (26ov)

Fifty up for Henry Nicholls, who has batted well after a slow start. Five off Rashid’s fifth over.

New Zealand 109-2 (25ov)

Plunkett bowling much better in this second spell. We are halfway through New Zealand’s innings.

New Zealand 108-2 (24ov)

Ross Taylor at the crease after that Williamson wicket. Taylor off the mark with Rashid struggling to build up any dot balls.

New Zealand 103-2 (23ov)

Liam Plunkett back into the attack as England look to make a breakthrough. And they might have it with an appeal for caught behind given not out but Eoin Morgan reviews straightaway. And they are right! Clear spike on Snicko. Williamson out for 30. Great review by England and good bowling change too.

New Zealand 102-1 (22ov)

The hundred up for New Zealand who have batted well after winning the toss. Four singles off that Adil Rashid over.

New Zealand 98-1 (21ov)

Wonderful fielding in the deep from Jonny Bairstow to save a boundary. And then the same from Adil Rashid. But decent over for New Zealand – seven off it.

New Zealand 91-1 (20ov)

Aggression from Williamson who powers one over the top for four off Rashid’s first ball of the over. Sweeps for another two. New Zealand probably the happier after the first 20 overs, it’s a solid start.

New Zealand 84-1 (19ov)

New Zealand finding runs a bit easier to come by now. Lovely placement from Nicholls to find the boundary and bring up the 50 partnership.

New Zealand 77-1 (18ov)

Spin into the attack as Adil Rashid replaces Liam Plunkett. Williamson comes down the pitch but can’t find the boundary. Runs off every ball in that over, decent one for New Zealand with seven off it.

New Zealand 70-1 (17ov)

Just the two off a decent Mark Wood over.

New Zealand 68-1 (16ov)

New Zealand upping their run-rate here as Nicholls starts the 16th over off Plunkett with a boundary. Only a single off the next five balls though.

New Zealand 63-1 (15ov)

Chris Woakes gets a rest as Mark Wood comes into the attack. He starts with a wide to Guptill but he’s got the ball moving. Yet to find his length as Williamson finds the boundary. It’s time for drinks.

New Zealand 55-1 (14ov)

New Zealand’s 50 comes up in the 14th over. It’s not easy to bat just yet, as shown by Kane Williamson who is on just four off 24 deliveries. But Nicholls does find the rope.

New Zealand 47-1 (13ov)

Woakes into his seventh. The only run off it comes from a wide down the legside.

New Zealand 46-1 (12ov)

First bowling change as Liam Plunkett replaces Jofra Archer. And there’s six off his first over.

New Zealand 40-1 (11ov)

Still Woakes and Nicholls slashes a wide one through the off-side for a boundary. He repeats the shot next ball but there’s a man out there now.

New Zealand 33-1 (10ov)

New Zealand finding runs hard to come by since Guptill’s wicket but Williamson finally off the mark. Ten overs gone.

New Zealand 31-1 (9ov)

Woakes in for his fifth and almost a run-out, would have been close but Jason Roy missed the stumps. Williamson yet to get off the mark from ten balls.

New Zealand 30-1 (8ov)

Archer is causing problems to Williamson here, getting the ball to move up the Lord’s slope. England putting the pressure on.

New Zealand 29-1 (7ov)

Woakes continues and a slip comes out for Guptill. And Woakes has him! LBW but there’s a review again. Looks plumb, and there’s three reds. England strike. It brings Kane Williamson to the wicket and the slip returns. Good over from Woakes.

New Zealand 28-0 (6ov)

New Zealand looking solid despite the early scare. Four off that Jofra Archer over.

New Zealand 24-0 (5ov)

Couple of singles off that Woakes over. England will be eager to get a breakthrough.

New Zealand 22-0 (4ov)

First six of the final as Guptill uppercuts one over third man before powering one down the ground for four. Good over for New Zealand, 12 off it.

New Zealand 10-0 (3ov)

Woakes again and he nips one back to Nicholls and strikes the pad. The umpire’s finger goes up but there’s a review. No bat but it’s going over the top, Nicholls survives! And Nicholls is off the mark with a clip to the legside.

New Zealand 8-0 (2ov)

Jofra Archer takes the second over and there’s an appeal from England for caught behind but it’s not given and there’s no review. Rightly so, it clips Guptill’s back hip. Three from the over. There is movement.

New Zealand 5-0 (1ov)

Chris Woakes starts with a wide as Jerusalem belts out. Guptill then finds a gap and he’s off the mark with a boundary. Arguably a touch short from Woakes that over.
