Sharon (played by Letitia Dean) discovered her pregnancy on EastEnders shortly after step-daughter Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) revealed she was also expecting a child with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
What Louise and Phil (Steve McFadden) are unaware of is there lovers have been having a long-running affair, with their most recent dalliance coming just after the young expectant mother told her boyfriend she’d had an abortion as she was upset with him.
Although Sharon has told Phil the baby is his, she has absolutely no idea whether her young lover, who is now engaged to her step-daughter, is actually the father.
It could all be about to change as a teaser from this summer’s action from the BBC soap has hinted Sharon will discover the truth.
In the clip, blonde bombshell Sharon can be seen looking at a piece of paper that appears to be the test results from her recent paternity test.
Sharon decided she needed to find out who the father of her unborn child was when she discovered she was pregnant shortly after reuniting with Keanu for one night of passion.
Phil has no idea that the baby might not be his and Sharon has done everything she can to make sure her affair remains a secret, but will the results of the paternity test change that?
This week, Sharon and Phil will attend an appointment together but Sharon will be forced to think on her feet when it becomes obvious she haS already taken blood tests.
Even though Sharon will quick explained the tests away, little does Phil know that Sharon had the bloods taken so she can find out who the father of her unborn child is for good.
In upcoming episodes, viewers will find out the results of the tests and it doesn’t look good for the EastEnders bad boy, who is carried off into an ambulance in the sneak peak clip.
Keanu and Louise are smiling in the same teaser as the camera cuts to Sharon opening her results; could this mean Keanu is the father of her child too?
Meanwhile the clip gives fans a glimpse of a heated argument Phil gets himself into and it looks like he’s finally discovered the truth about Sharon and Keanu’s secret romance.
As Keanu tries to talk, Phil shouts back at him and says: “Not one more word, not one more.”
With his notoriously fiery temper, it’s likely the revelation will make for explosive scenes and the Mitchell hard man might find himself the victim of a brutal attack.
Phil’s time in Walford could finally be up as he’s left fighting for his life after a row with someone close to him spirals out of control.
“Things have been bubbling for a while with those keeping secrets from Phill,” a BBC source told The Sun.
“With him oblivious to it all and looking forward to becoming a father and grandfather again, life couldn’t be looking more perfect.
“But secrets never stay secret for long in Albert Square.

Will Phil discover Sharon is carrying Keanu’s baby and start a fight which he may not be able to finish?
