Chris Evans: 'Thought the house was falling down' Virgin Radio host stunned by tactic

The Virgin Radio breakfast show host said: “I had this experience once with the little hard tubular bits at the end of shoe strings, aglets, I think they are called. Well, one of those aglets got caught in the washing machine. It slipped through the holes in the washing machine and I thought the house was going to fall down.

“There was hell to pay.”

Chris also told listeners once about how Natasha took a scoop of ice cream by hand from Noah his son during an outing.

The 53-year-old explained Noah had asked for two scoops of ice cream from the stand.

But his two scoops were “enormous”.

Speaking on his Virgin Radio Breakfast Show, Chris said: “Noah said ‘Can we have an ice cream?’ and mum said ‘oh, go on then. It’s your week off, here you go.’”

The children asked if they could have one, two or three scoops of ice cream.

Natasha said they could only have two scoops.

Chris said: “Noah was first with the two scoops.

“He picks his favourite flavour, salted caramel, on goes the first massive scoop, unbelievable!

“I mean, gorgeously massively.

“There was almost a solar eclipse it was so massive.

“If you held it up there would have been.

“Then on goes the second scoop, I mean enormous.”

On another occasion the Virgin Radio team discussed the Tory leadership election with Rachel explaining to Chris that a result is expected on July 23rd.

Chris suggested an abseiling contest on the Friday before the result with Rachel captaining a girl’s team with Vassos leading the boys.

Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast Show airs weekdays at 6.30am.
