Brigitte Macron: French First Lady wears daring statement dress to Bastille day 2019

Brigitte Macron has become well known for her stylish looks during her time as First Lady alongside husband Emmanuel Macron. Her outfit choice for Bastille day 2019 in Paris, France was no exception – a statement white dress with long sleeves. She was seen arriving to attend the traditional Bastille Day military parade on the Champs-Elysees Avenue in the French Capital in the elegant number. The dress fell to just above her knees showing off her slim and bronzed legs.

It featured a high neck with detailing across the chest. A rather edgy choice, it also featured bodice-style lacing on either side of the body-hugging dress.

On her feet, Brigitte wore high pointed white heels with silver caps further setting off her tan.

To match the silver in her shoes, the First lady held a petite silver clutch in her hand.

A beaded bracelet could be seen on her right wrist as well as a ring on each hand.

Her blonde, bobbed hair was kept loose in a stylish blowdry around her face.

Brigitte kept her makeup natural for the event, letting her statement dress do the talking.

The First Lady was seen greeting German chancellor Angela Merkel as well as outgoing European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker at the important event.

Military parades, fireworks, dances and festive meals will form major celebrations for the annual Bastille Day in France.

Military servicemen and women file along the Champs-Elysee on horseback while military aircraft flies above.

Referred to the French as La Fete Nationale or Le 14 Juillet, the public holiday will see much of France getting a day off as businesses, post offices and banks will close.

Bastille festivities are also held in French communities around the world in the US, UK and South Africa to name a few.

Brigitte Macron was spotted earlier this week outside the Elysee Palace in Paris, again showing off her shapely legs.

She wore a classy cream dress as she met with Ecuador’s President, Lenin Moreno, and his wife, Rocio Gonzalez.

Brigitte’s garment had a boxy fit with a high neckline and loose capped sleeves.

The light garment had three black buttons which went down from the neck from each side of the dress.

It had two large buttons which outlined pockets just below the hip. She finished the look with a pair of black high heel shoes.

The French First Lady kept her jewellery to a minimum and only wore a rose gold watch on her left wrist.

She chose not to carry a bag as she posed for photographs outside the Palace.

Keeping her make-up simple, Brigitte opted for a nude lipstick and brush of mascara. She wore her blonde bob down and styled into a straight blow-dry.
