PS Plus Free Games SHOCK: PS4 leak could be big news for PlayStation fans

The PS Plus free games for July 2019 saw a shock switch before they went live and now a new leak is claiming to offer news on next month’s lineup.

A new report has appeared online that suggests August’s PlayStation Plus roster of PS4 games have already been discovered.

The information has been posted online by Glitched.Africa, which sources its story from a reader.

This includes the news that both UFC 3 and Star Wars Battlefront 2 will be free to download next month with a PS Plus membership.

Unfortunately, there is no way of confirming whether this news will prove accurate or not at the moment, as Sony won’t be announcing their plans for some time.

It will be weeks before the August 2019 lineup is confirmed by the tech giant, who recently made a very last-minute change.

July 2019 was supposed to include PES 2019 as a PS Plus free game, before being replaced by Detroit: Become Human.

A short statement from Sony reads.: “We are making a swap to the PS Plus games lineup for July. This month, we are adding Detroit: Become Human Digital Deluxe Edition, which also includes Heavy Rain (Beyond Two Souls), to the July games lineup instead of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019.

“We apologise for any inconvenience. Here’s more information about Detroit: Become Human, which will be available to PS Plus members along with Horizon Chase Turbo from 2nd July to 5th August.”

The statement doesn’t reveal why the last-minute change was made, but it does confirm that PS4 gamers will have to wait until July 31 to find out what’s coming next.

By revealing August 6 as the day the new PS Plus games go live, it also predicts that the announcement will likely be made on the last Wednesday of July.

For now, the rumour that UFC 3 and Battlefront 2 will be the games featured in August 2019 needs to be taken with a big pinch of salt.

The idea that EA Will offer two of their games during the same month as EA Access goes live on the PlayStation platform seems a little odd.

There is a chance this could be done to celebrate the release but this may also be a random glitch found on the PlayStation Store.

July 24 has been confirmed as the release date for EA Access, around a week before the official PlayStation Plus lineup is revealed.

The new subscription service will make it possible to buy EA games at a discount and will also allow PS4 gamers to trial certain releases early.

EA has not announced any kind of discount or free trial for EA Access on PS4, however, some kind of promotion could be unveiled in the coming months.

And If it’s anything like EA Access on Xbox One, the PS4 version will cost £3.99 a month and £19.99 for the year.

While there are many good reasons to sign up, the best reason is the library of free games you can download and play when you subscribe.

The EA Access Vault on Xbox One, for example, contains a library of more than 60 games.

Both the PS Plus subscription service and that of EA Access will remain separate, meaning you will need to pay for both, with no crossover expected.
