Kate Middleton: Duchess of Cambridge is elegant in green as she attends Wimbledon 2019

Kate Middleton was the picture of sartorial elegance today as she attended the Wimbledon 2019 final. The Duchess of Cambridge wore a long, green Dolce and Gabbana dress for the important international tennis event. The emerald frock featured large gold buttons running from her throat to waist, embellishing the otherwise plain number. Featuring a high neck the green dress also had slightly puffed short sleeves.

The chic number fell below her knees and skimmed her svelte figure as she cheerfully waved to bystanders and spoke to players.

In her hand, the Duchess held a small beige handbag while small gold hoop earring adorned her ears.

Kate’s thick brown hair cascaded in soft waves over her shoulders and her makeup was kept natural.

On her feet, she opted for pointed nude heels to match the colour of her stylish handbag.

Kate Middleton also attended Wimbledon on day two of the tennis tournament on 2 July.

The Duchess of Cambridge made a nod to her surroundings in a classic white summer dress, £1850 by Suzannah – with white being the colour worn by tennis players at tournaments around the world.

She sat among other tennis fans to watch British number four Harriet Dart during her showdown with American Christina McHale.

Mum-of-three Kate showed off her willowy figure in the dress, white had a classic 1940s silhouette. A black leather belt from Alexander McQueen showed off her trim waist, and she wore a bow pin in the Wimbledon colours on her lapel.

Kate carried a £1260 Alexander McQueen small Wicca bag in one hand. Keeping her eyes shaded from the sun, Kate wore a pair of classic black Ray Ban sunglasses.

A pair of black chunky heel court shoes from Gianvito Rossi completed the look.

Her famous long brown locks were in full display, as Kate wore them in loose, tumbling curls over her shoulders.

However, the Duchess chose to keep her makeup simple, opting for light mascara and a light pink lipstick.

The Duchess of Cambridge was praised for her “fabulous” decision to join non-ticket holders during the match amid ongoing criticism toward sister-in-law Meghan Markle for opting to isolate herself and her friends from members of the public during her visit to the tennis tournament last week.

Royal expert Juliet Rieden told Nine News Australia: “She didn’t go to the Royal Box, she went straight to court 14 to support a British player and sat amongst everyone which I thought was fabulous.

“On the other side, we had Meghan, who we didn’t know was going to come, with her two friends to watch her best mate Serena Williams play and to support her. There were a lot of spare seats around her – obviously, the security had to make sure that happened.

“Apparently a couple of people were told off for taking pictures of her. The security, whether that came from Meghan herself or was just overzealous security, they said that she was there in a private capacity – I’m not sure.”

Kate’s sister Pippa Middleton attended the semi-finals of Wimbledon 2019 yesterday.
