Philippe Coutinho’s agent speaks more

Philippe Coutinho’s future has been discussed by his agent Kia Joorabchian with the Brazilian linked with a Barcelona exit to the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool or Paris Saint-Germain.

Since leaving Anfield the Brazilian has struggled to make much of an impact at the Nou Camp.

But Joorabchian insists Coutinho is not considering leaving the club and would probably not join one of Liverpool’s Premier League rivals.

The 27-year-old has been linked with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side as he looks to overhaul his squad.

Joorabchian told Sky Sports: “Coutinho has never spoken about leaving.

“At the moment we are extremely calm and haven’t gone out to get an offer because we’ve been told categorically that he is not for sale.

“But Liverpool lies very deeply in his heart, he has a strong affinity with the club so it would be difficult for him to go to one of their direct rivals.”

Coutinho set for Catalan stay?

Philippe Coutinho’s agent Kia Joorabchian has hit out at claims that Barcelona are trying to sell the Brazilian. Coutinho has been linked with a move back to the Premier League after enduring a disappointing 18-month spell with Barca.

“I was told they have no intention of selling him, that Barcelona have not spoken to anyone and that stories to the contrary are simply not true,” Joorabchian told the Telegraph .

“I will not let people talk about Philippe and put him down because for one-and-a-half years we have said nothing. I won’t let them do that and all of us in Philippe’s camp will not let that happen because Barcelona have told us he is staying.

“Coutinho’s camp are not actively looking to move him but we believe people inside Barcelona may be acting without authority to try and sell the player. Either Barcelona have to contain the people within their organisation who are giving out information to the contrary or they have to tell us the truth if they have changed their minds.”

Antoine Griezmann’s release clause

Barcelona have included an mammoth release clause in Antoine Griezmann’s contract.

The Spanish champions announced the signing of Griezmann on Friday having triggered a £107m release clause in his Atletico Madrid contract.

But Barcelona won’t be making the same mistake as their La Liga rivals.

They’ve included a £718million buyout clause in the Frenchman’s five-year deal – that’s £100m more than Lionel Messi!

Matthijs de Ligt to Juventus

Juventus are likely to have to wait until next week to announce the £66m (€75m) signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Ajax, reports in Holland claim.

His agent, Mino Raiola, revealed this week that the centre-back has already finalised personal terms with the Serie A champions.

Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf are now reporting Juventus agreed on Friday to meet Ajax’s demands and hand over £66m for De Ligt.

De Ligt will not travel to Austria with Ajax on Saturday as Erik ten Hag’s men step up their preparations for next season.

Neymar three-player swap

Barcelona are prepared to offer three players plus cash to sign Neymar.

That’s the claim from German newspaper Bild, who say the Catalan giants will supply a list of four players for Paris Saint-Germain to choose from.

The quartet on offer are; Philippe Coutinho, Ousmane Dembele, Nelson Semedo and Samuel Umtiti.

Bild add that Barcelona will also offer £116million in cash to sweeten the deal.

Lionel Messi welcome

The agent of Barcelona target Lautaro Martinez says his client is going nowhere this summer.

And cheekily adds that Lionel Messi is more than welcome to join his international colleague at Inter Milan.

Martinez recorded six goals in 27 Serie A appearances last season and scored twice alongside Messi during this summer’s Copa America.

“Lautaro Martinez will not leave Inter and he can’t wait to start work with Antonio Conte,” Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque told FCInterNews.

“It’s true, there was some Blaugrana interest for Martinez, although nobody from the club contacted us officially. Let’s just put it this way: if Lionel Messi wants to play with Martinez, then he can come to Inter.”

Antoine Griezmann dispute

Barcelona may have officially announced Antoine Griezmann’s transfer from Atletico Madrid yesterday – but the saga is far from over.

And that’s because Atletico look set to pursue Barcelona for an additional £72million.

Diego Simeone’s side claim the £107m received for Griezmann is “insufficient” to cover the player’s buyout clause.

Atletico have “initiated procedures” with a view to receiving a higher fee because they believe the transfer was agreed before the 28-year-old’s buyout clause was reduced from £179m on July 1.

Dani Olmo latest

Dani Olmo is keeping his options open.

The former Barcelona winger, who joined Dinamo Zagreb in 2014, has been linked to European heavyweights Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and a return to the Nou Camp.

“I’m not ruling out any team,” Olmo told Sport. “Out of respect to everyone who is interested in me, I’m not going to say anything. You have to respect them all.

“There’s talk about a lot of teams and many more rumours. I don’t know what is true and what isn’t. I’ve spent five of my life living abroad. If it’s a few more years, I’m not bothered.”

No offers for Phil

Philippe Coutinho has joined the growing list of expensive talent that nobody wants to buy.

The Brazilian playmaker has found life difficult at the Nou Camp since arriving from Liverpool 18 months ago.

And Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim Barcelona haven’t received a single offer for the 27-year-old.

Reports in recent weeks have claimed that there are no bidders for Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale and Arsenal star Mesut Ozil.

Saul Niguez talks

Atletico Madrid have reportedly opened talks with Saul Niguez about a new contract.

Spanish newspaper AS claim Manchester United have earmarked the Spaniard should Paul Pogba leave Old Trafford.

Niguez, 24, has a £134million release clause in his contract and Atletico would be powerless to prevent him leaving the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium – just like Antoine Griezmann.

Niguez’s current contract lasts until 2026 and could be extended even further.

Antoine Griezmann’s first words

Antoine Griezmann has delivered his first word since officially joining Barcelona.

The French international signed a five-year deal with the Catalan giants and will unveiled to supporters on Sunday.

“When I was a boy, my dad taught me that trains don’t come around just once,” he said. “Now it’s time to take on the challenge of a new destination.

“Finally, our paths cross. I’ll defend the Barca colours with all my determination and commitment. It’s our time. This is our path.”

Dani Ceballos latest

Arsenal have submitted an opening bid of £42million to Real Madrid for midfielder Dani Ceballos, according to reports in Spain.

Ceballos is set to leave the Bernabeu this summer in search of regular first-team football.

The midfielder has been heavily linked with Tottenham but Spanish publication Eldesmarque claim their north London rivals have firmed up their own interest with an official offer.

Ceballos, 22, is highly-rated despite struggling to break through at Real and recently starred for Spain as they won the Under-21 European Championships.

New Fekir contract

Lyon are set to discuss a new contract with Nabil Fekir.

The French midfielder was linked Premier League duo Arsenal and Liverpool after club president Jean-Michel Aulas admitted he could be sold.

However, Liverpool have cooled their interest while Arsenal are unable to pounce with Mesut Ozil still on their books.

And Goal claim Lyon will use the apparent lack of interest to sure his long-term future.
