Novak Djokovic sends Wimbledon crowd message ahead of Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer final

Djokovic grew frustrated as the Centre Court supporters were in favour of Roberto Bautista Agut during his semi-final clash.

The world No 1 let out his frustrations by putting his finger to his lips and cupping his ear at times during the match.

It is highly likely Djokovic will be the pantomime villain again in the final against fan-favourites Federer or Nadal, who are battling in the second semi-final this evening.

But the 15-time Grand Slam winner claims he will not let it get to him too much.

“Look, it wouldn’t be the first time playing against Nadal nor Federer on the Centre Court,” Djokovic said.

“I’ve had that experience more than once. As I said, I know what to expect.

“I’m going to go out there and fight and give it all. It’s finals of Wimbledon.

“This is the kind of a match that I always dreamt of as a young boy with the tennis racket, dreamt of being part of.

“This is what I worked for. I wanted to be in this position.

“I have a chance to fight for a trophy. Regardless of who’s across the net or what is happening around, I’ll definitely give it all.”

Djokovic also tried to talk down Bautista Agut’s favouritism during his post-match press conference.

“It’s nothing unusual. You go through these kind of emotional moments, especially in big matches like this, all the time,” he added.

“I mean, at least on my side. Sometimes I show my emotions, sometimes I don’t. It’s nothing really in particular.

“There’s always something that can take you out of the comfort zone.

“Sometimes you get frustrated. It’s important to bounce back really quickly.”
