Anne Hegerty, 60, regularly shows off her general knowledge skills as one of the quiz masters on The Chase.
But there are some things Anne needs help with, as she struggled with technology in a funny backstage encounter.
In an interview with Mail Online, Anne had technical issues with a live feed from the studio, which she watches from her dressing room.
An engineer was summoned and quickly fixed the problem within one minute by lifting the TV plug and inserting it into the wall.
“Well that was embarrassing,” Anne said, as she saw the funny side of the situation.
She continued: “I must admit I didn’t check that the thing was plugged in.
“You see, I’m only clever about certain things.”
Anne also spoke about host of the show, Bradley Walsh, and her concerns for his health.
“I worry about him having a heart attack,” she said, acknowledging Bradley’s workaholic tendencies and busy schedule.
In spite of The Governess’ concerns, Bradley couldn’t help but chime in with a quick-witted retort and cheekily responded: “I think Anne should take a look in the mirror.”
Although the Chaser’s film three episodes day, keeping them vey busy, Anne revealed she is still shocked she has a role on the programme.
She added to the publication: “It’s bonkers that I’m being paid to quiz. When I said to my brother that my job was a professional quizzer, he snorted his drink out of his nose.”
Meanwhile, Anne’s The Chase co-star, Mark Labbett, known as The Beast on the show, made a surprising admission about his previous job on Twitter yesterday.
The quizzer has been on the show since 2009, but before displaying his incredible general knowledge, Mark was a netball coach.
The Chase favourite revealed the news on Twitter after saying how excited he was for the Netball World Cup 2019, which has kicked off today.
In view of his 113,000 Twitter followers, he wrote: “As a former netball coach, looking forward to it!”
It comes after former Olympic 400m medallist Katharine Marry retweeted a post from Mark after he showed his support for the upcoming sporting event.
Mark penned: “I am hoping that 2019 could be the year of #ENGvNZ world finals. Netball, Cricket, Rugby Union…like a good Guinness I hope white will be on top of Black in all of them.”
She replied: “All starts tomorrow Mark with the netters…so we will see #NWC2019…every game is live on @SkyNetball if the Beast wants a netball feast.”
The Chase airs weekdays on ITV at 5pm.
