Volkswagen is copying one of the coolest features from a Rolls Royce for its cars

Volkswagen is copying one of the coolest features seen on Rolls Royce cars for some of its passenger cars. It has developed something Dynamic Volkswagen Hub Caps which is essentially self-levelling logos on the alloy wheels. What this means is that when the car is driving the VW badge will stay upright and not move. It is an awesome feature which has become famous for featuring on Rolls Royce cars and will give VW customers a little piece of luxury.

This is the first time such an option has been produced by Volkswagen.

The feature has been described as one of the VW’s ‘deluxe items’ as it is not necessary and realistically something the driver or passenger cannot enjoy.

It is said that the self-levelling caps are suitable for most VW alloy wheels and cost around £156 for four caps.

The caps are said to be unstable and incompatible with the up!, Polo, Lupo, T-Cross, Phateon and Touareg alloy wheels, but work with the majority of other models.

The Dynamic Volkswagen Hub Cap is compatible with vehicles whose alloy wheels are able to accept the standard-fit 5G0601171XQI hub caps.

James Woolfe, VW Accessories Manager, said: “If you’re after a touch of that super-expensive segment on your Volkswagen, or if you just want to quell the niggling irritation of badges pointing in different directions to one another, being upside-down or not being perfectly horizontal when parked, then these are definitely for you.

“We’ve not quite reinvented the wheel here, but we know this new item will get certain customers in a spin.”

The Dynamic Volkswagen Hub Caps can be ordered through local retailers across the Volkswagen Retailer Network.
