Brownstone Productions, the production company of actor-director Elizabeth Banks, is developing the new project, which is still in early stages.

Warner Bros. did not announce the network that will air the show, but its parent company, AT&T, revealed this week that its new streaming service will be called HBO Max and is set to launch next spring.

The Flintstones originally aired on ABC from 1960-66, and several subsequent television shows, feature films, video games, and comics followed. The show follows the lives of two families during the Stone Age.

HBO Max will feature content from properties like DC, TNT, TBS, truTV, The CW, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, HBO, and more. HBO Max will blend both original content from creators like Greg Berlanti and television staples, like Friends and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
