Mino Raiola delivers update on Paul Pogba leaving Man Utd, reveals it'll be resolved soon

Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United has been up in the air for the last six months, despite his remarkable turn around after Jose Mourinho’s departure from the club.

The Frenchman is a target for Italian champions Juventus, who sold the World Cup winner back to the Red Devils in the summer of 2016 for a fee of £89million.

After another turbulent season at Old Trafford, Pogba is keen to take up a new challenge, though United aren’t keen to part company with the France international unless their valuation of the player is met.

Raiola hopes United will grant Pogba’s wish to leave the club and believes his client is handling the ongoing transfer saga in a professional manner.

“The player [Pogba] has done nothing wrong,” Raiola told talkSPORT’s Jim White. “He has been respectful and professional in every way and always. he club has known his feeling for a long time.

“It is a shame other people only like to criticise without the right information, and I am also sorry that the club does not take any position against this.

“Hopefully there will be soon a satisfying solution for all parties.”

Pogba revealed his desire to end his second stint at Old Trafford late last month during an Adidas event in Tokyo, to the surprise of United fans across the globe.

“Like you said, there is a lot of talking and a lot of thinking as well,” he told reporters. “For me, I have been for three years in Manchester and have been doing great; some good moments and some bad moments, like everybody. Like everywhere else.

“After this season and everything that happened this season, with my season being my best season as well.

“I think for me it could be a good time to have a new challenge somewhere else.

“I am thinking of this: to have a new challenge somewhere else.”

Red Devils boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to retain Pogba’s services, though it’s understood the United brass are willing to sell the charismatic midfielder if their £135million valuation is met.

One man who reckons Solskjaer should cash in on the former Juve midfielder – who’s a target for Spanish giants Real Madrid – is former United defender Gary Neville, who believes his old side are better off without players who aren’t 100 per cent committed to the club.

“They don’t have to keep any player,” Neville said during an appearance on Sky Sports.

“Manchester United are a better team when Paul Pogba plays but if players don’t want to be at the club – that doesn’t mean Pogba, he may want to be at the club – you have to get everybody onside and aligned with where you’re going.

“Ultimately, that’s the first thing Ole had to do – to work out who was going to be ready for the club moving forward.

“I’m still unsure on many players. I see the speculation on Sky Sports News and online and it looks like it could be moving all the time.

“You’ve got to get players in before you let them go because being armed with the money makes you vulnerable.”

Pogba made a total of 47 appearances for United last season, scoring 16 goals and picking up 11 assists for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
