14:30 UPDATE: Chelsea exit

Callum Hudson-Odoi is no closer to signing a new deal and remains Bayern Munich’s priority this summer, Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth claims.

“From the outside you’d have to say Callum Hudson-Odoi is more likely to stay under Frank Lampard than he would have been under Maurizio Sarri,” Sheth said on the Transfer Talk podcast.

“Sarri said, in various news conferences, that Callum Hudson-Odoi will reach his peak a 23,24.

“This guy wants to play now, he’s seen the likes of Jadon Sancho go off to Borussia Dortmund, becoming a central figure in that team, become a central figure in the England team as well.

“That started to happen for Callum Hudson-Odoi the more he played towards the back end of last season. Of course he, like [Ruben] Loftus-Cheek, has got that injury.

“But on the flip side of it all, the spectre of Bayern Munich remains. He remains Bayern Munich’s No 1 target.

“They’ve had four bids rejected now over the last two transfer windows, the latest of which is around £22.5m.”
