The Superstition hitmaker announced the news in front of a huge crowd before wrapping up his set.
Stevie, 69, said he had a donor and would perform a couple more shows before he taking a break for the kidney transplant in September.
He told his fans: ”I’m all good, I’m all good, all good, I have a donor and it’s all good.”
Stevie added: “I want you to know, I came here to give you my love and thank you for your love.
“I love you and God bless you.”
He said he wanted to tell his fans first, before rumours about his health circulated.
