Cameron Boyce dead: How did 20-year-old Disney Descendants star die?

Cameron Boyce, who rose to fame as Luke Ross in Disney’s Jessie, before becoming a household name to many in Descendants as Carlos, has died aged 20. The young actor also starred in comedy Grown Ups where he played the son of Adam Sandler’s character Leonard Feder, Keithie. Cameron had a string of projects in the works at the time of his passing.

How did Cameron Boyce die?

Cameron died due to an “ongoing medical condition”, with the news being confirmed on Saturday night.

His family said the Disney star died in his sleep.

A family spokesman told ABC News: “It is with a profoundly heavy heart that we report that this morning we lost Cameron.

“He passed away in his sleep due to a seizure which was a result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.

“The world is now undoubtedly without one of its brightest lights, but his spirit will live on through the kindness and compassion of all who knew and loved him.

“We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely difficult time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother.”

Disney has since released a statement following his sad death.

A spokesperson for Disney Channel said: “From a young age, Cameron Boyce dreamed of sharing his extraordinary artistic talents with the world.

“As a young man, he was fuelled by a strong desire to make a difference in peoples’ lives through his humanitarian work.”
