Xbox One gamers have a new choice of free games to play this weekend, courtesy of Microsoft.
If you have an Xbox Live Gold membership, you can download the latest Free Play Days promotion, which includes a timed-trial.
It won’t cost you anything to download and play this weekend’s new Xbox One selection, and it will also be available to buy at a discount, once the trial is over.
The latest free Xbox One game available via Xbox Live is Grip: Combat Racing.

The Xbox One title became available to play for free on Thursday, July 4, and will remain free to play for Gold members until Monday, July 8.
It was announced by Microsoft’s Major Nelson earlier this week in a blog post and has been confirmed to include the full game experience.
So not only will you be able to play with others who own the game, but you can also test out some of the DLC content too.
Developers Wired Productions have also confirmed that Grip will be 50% off to buy until July 16 on the Microsoft Store.
It makes for quite an enticing package for those who enjoy the new Combat Racing game, which continues to receive free content updates.
Grip can be picked up for £17.49 instead of the usual £34.99, with plenty to explore before the new Free Play Days event ends.
Alternatively, Grip: Combat Racing can also be found on the Xbox Game Pass as one of a number of game downloads.
“We’ve just launched our Grip Summer of Combat campaign and could think of no better way to celebrate than teaming up with Xbox for a Free Play Days event,” a message from Wired Productions reads.
“Grip really found its home with Xbox Game Pass, and the development team have been hard at work to continuously optimize the game and deliver free tracks and DLC packs for players.
“In fact, since hitting Xbox Game Pass, we’ve added six new tracks, a new arena, team modes, new cars, and skin packs. Our biggest update to date was a massive surprise patch in May that brought anti-grav vehicles (AirBlades) to the track for the ultimate battle.
“Throughout Grip‘s Summer of Combat campaign, we will introduce new fan-requested tracks, a brand-new vehicle manufacturer, and a very special car that the team can’t wait to reveal alongside a host of new updates and content.”
Xbox One fans need to find an extra 4GB of space to download Grip Combat Racing on Xbox One. The game offers online multiplayer and has an age rating on Xbox platforms for ages 7 and up.
The Microsoft Store description reveals: “GRIP is a high octane, hardcore combat racer, packing ferocious speed and armed to the teeth with heavy weapons.
“Harnessing gravity-defying physics alongside a bristling arsenal of outlandish weapons, GRIP delivers the fastest, most competitive racing experience ever.
“Scale walls, ceilings and anything else you can get your tyres on to… as you master tantalising tracks, tricks and perform mind-blowing stunts to race your way across the cosmos.”
More free Xbox Live games can be downloaded today, including those released by Microsoft as part of the official Games with Gold lineup.
These include Inside for Xbox One and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for Xbox 360 and Backwards Compatibility.
