Carol Kirkwood: ‘I see trouble ahead’ BBC Weather host speaks out on show's cheeky guest

Carol Kirkwood, 57, shared a selfie with cheeky puppet star Hacker the dog in view of her 157,000 followers after the character interrupted her BBC Weather forecast last week. The snap showed the weather presenter cuddling up to the fuzzy dog at Wimbledon, where she was filming for BBC Breakfast. Carol added the caption: “Look who I found… I see ‘trouble’ ahead @BBCBreakfast @HackerTDog xxx.” The Scottish TV personality’s followers took to the comments section of her tweet to share their thoughts on the funny photo.

One joked: “Quick hide the tennis balls. You should take Hacker out for a walk along the river.”

A second fan added: “Carol, great photo with T Hacker dog, he always makes me laugh. Have a fabulous day and enjoy this lovely weather at Wimbledon.”

A third quipped: “Don’t talk to him Carol he was trying to chat up @SueBarkerTennis he’s a playaaa.” (sic)

Even Hacker T Dog’s official Twitter page commented on the selfie with a mischievous request, writing: “Top notch to see you #MarryMe.”

Spotting Hacker’s reply, Carol wrote back: “Hacks! Always a pleasure xxx.”

Hacker first bounded onto the screen when Carol was in the midst of presenting her forecast for the day

The puppet exclaimed: “Carol Kirkwood, what are you talking about? The weather again?”

A particularly cheeky innuendo then ensued when Hacker was informed which presenters were hosting the show in the studio.

Carol told him it was Naga Munchetty, 44, and Charlie Stayt, 57, which prompted Hacker to respond: “Hey Charlie, he’s a right Stayt. Whoops, it never gets old does it.”

The blonde beauty appeared to be stunned by the comment as she jokingly hit back: “That is terrible. You can’t say that about Charlie, even though it is his surname.”

Reflecting on the pup’s appearance, Carol sighed: “Oh Hacker. Honestly, he’s nothing but trouble this dog.”

She then giggled and added: “He’s the kind of trouble we do like.”

Elsewhere, Carol was spotted reuniting with her colleague Mike Bushell at the tennis.

The 53-year-old news reporter smiled in a sweet photo with the meteorologist with an empty court in the background.

In spite of the adorable moment, Carol couldn’t help but issue a sarcastic caption to the post on the micro-blogging site.

She wrote: “I have never liked @mikebushelltv @BBCBreakfast xxx.”

Mike was quick to respond to her remark with some witty banter, adding: “There’s just no chemistry. You’re the sunshine after the rain (name that song) he he.”(sic)

BBC Breakfast continues tomorrow at 6am on BBC One.
