The BBC presenter took aim at Piers Morgan and Chris Evans while responding to someone on Twitter. As one person complained about breakfast show presenters, Dan called the presenters “awful” in a tongue-in-cheek remark. The woman also moaned about Dan’s show which he took on the chin with his joke.
The Twitter user said: “Not a huge fan of ITV breakfast shows, so I watch BBC Breakfast first and then make sure to switch on to my old friend Lorraine after.
“She should be presenting the main GMB show, get rid of Piers!
“I really don’t like Dan Walker either but a lot more tolerable than Piers.
“If any other channel had a decent breakfast show I would choose to watch that instead.

“Tried Radio 2 breakfast once, it was that ginger Chris Evans guy! Switched straight off.
“Why do breakfast shows employ such awful presenters?”
Dan then jokingly replied: “No idea. They really are awful, aren’t they?”
The BBC presenter has engaged in a Twitter spat with ITV’s Piers recently after a fan likened Dan to Piers.
Picking up on the controversy, Piers boasted about the comparison to himself.
Tweeting out to his followers, Piers said: “Congrats Mr Dan Walker – imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
Dan quickly defended himself and responded to the Good Morning Britain presenter.
Dan said: “I know he’s made a career out of it but I’m sure you are far too intelligent to fall for another pile of garbage newspaper story based on a single tweet.
“Have a lovely Tuesday.”
