Carol Kirkwood: BBC Breakfast star branded the ‘other woman’ by co-star’s new WIFE

Carol Kirkwood, 57, has been giving viewers updates of the weather live from Wimbledon 2019 and was yesterday spotted with her co-star Mike Bushell, 53, at the sporting event. In view of her 157,000, the BBC Breakfast star shared a snap alongside her colleague as the pair embraced in a big hug in an empty tennis court. But the sweet snap had one fan quizzing the photo, saying: “He just recently married!” before Mike’s new wife, Emily Bushell, responded to the post admitting she is fine with Carol being the “other woman” in her husband’s life. The marketing executive replied to the user in question, writing: “Ha don’t worry Liz… I approve of Carol being the other woman.”

The BBC favourite penned: “EMILY! Hello! xxxx,” followed by heart eyed emojis.

Her co-star Mike also got in on the action as the sports presenter shared a snap of himself and partner Emily watching a match from Wimbledon 2019.

He said: “Hi back xxx,” with Carol replying to the snap, writing: “Gawjus.”(sic)

The back and forth messaging comes after Carol had previously shared a snap with Mike which she cheekily captioned the post: “I never liked at @mikebushelltv @BBCBreakfast xxx.”

Wearing her blonde tresses in her signature style, she sported a chic floral dress to deliver the forecast.

She wrapped her arms around newlywed Mike as he returned the hug, as he wore a navy blue suit.

Replying to the upload, her pal replied: “There’s just no chemistry. You’re the sunshine after the rain (name that song) he he.”(sic)

She replied to the light-hearted comment with a series of heart and laughing emojis.

Meanwhile, it comes just weeks after Carol recently took a moment on the micro-blogging to congratulate Mike and Emily on their nuptials.

The BBC sports star announced the news he was tying the knot with his marketing executive wife, Emily Bond, earlier this year.

Carol shared a snap of the broadcaster with his new bride and captioned the post: “Congratulations to the gorgeous happy couple… @mikebreakfast and his beautiful wife xxx.”

Elsewhere, the meteorologist has been at Wimbledon 2019 all week, but warned her followers of the high pollen count today.

She said: “Coming to @Wimbledon today? Will be warmer than yesterday with highs up to 27/28C… dry and sunny. Very high pollen levels.”

Tennis star Andy Murray’s mum – Judy Murray replied: “Yeah. Guess I’ll have to,” followed by a laughing face emoji.

Carol quipped: “Get yourself down here GG.”

Judy’s cheeky quip comes after Andy is set to join tennis champion Serena Williams as their gear up for they doubles campaign which kicks off later today.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am.
