Phillip Schofield: ‘It’ll be fine’ This Morning star moves on after ‘RUDE’ interview

Now, This Morning guest Billie Faiers, 29, has said she is willing to move on from the situation and speak to Phillip Schofield, 57. Last month, Phillip queried Billie on her earnings after discovering how much it was to stay at the resort she and Greg Shephard married at in the Maldives. The reality star has now insisted the awkward on-air moment may not have been Phillip’s fault, despite him asking the question. Reflecting on her previous comment, in which she called the question “rude”, she said: “I was uncomfortable and I was taken aback.

“I was in shock that someone would ask how much my wedding cost. But it wasn’t a personal dig at Phil.”

She added to The Sun: “I’m sure I’ll see him out and about and say, ‘Hi.’ I’m sure it’ll be fine.”

Billie then jokingly she said she may have “added fuel to the fire” after the reported feud between Phillip and Amanda Holden, 48.

Earlier this month, a source claimed Phillip had “blocked” Amanda from presenting alongside him in Holly Willoughby’s absence last year.

His television sidekick took a break from the show to present I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! alongside Declan Donnelly, 43.

Holly’s stand-in host was later revealed as Rochelle Humes, 30.

An insider told The Sun: “Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced — and having been told privately she’d got the gig.

“She feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion.”

ITV have since denied presenters have any say on who is booked for the show.

An ITV spokesperson said: “Presenter line ups on This Morning change regularly and final decisions on these line ups are made by producers and not the presenters.

“Phillip Schofield is a much loved broadcaster and part of the ITV family. He is a consummate professional and held in high regard at ITV.”

Phillip later took to Twitter to address the reports in view of his four million followers.

He wrote: “The end of another really sad weekend.

“When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless ‘sources’.

“Obviously I’ll take it on the chin.. I just hope you know me better.”

Amanda recently spoke out on the alleged feud during a chat with her co-star Jamie Theakston, 48, on Heart Radio.

She claimed she texted the Phillip about the situation, but didn’t receive a reply.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
