Peaky Blinders season 5: Tommy Shelby heads for enormous change in big twist

Peaky Blinders is about to return to the BBC after an extremely dramatic season four finale.

When fans last saw Tommy Shelby (played by Cillian Murphy), he was making a deal with Al Capone in order to defeat evil Luca Changretta (Adrian Brody).

The BBC have now released a small tease from season five and it seems Tommy is in for a career change.

In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, the beloved hero sits in Parliament while surrounded by respectable MPs.

As usual, he doesn’t seem to care about the rules and acts as loutish as usual.

In a character introduction, he is seen with an “MP” title over his name.

He can be seen walking very determinedly down a corridor while saying: “I would change the world.”

However, now he’s in with the New York Mafia, will his time as an MP last long?

The teasing clip ended with a line saying season five would air “later this year”, but when is it coming?

Fans were in turmoil over the incident and it seems they are desperate to know the release date.

One said: “LATER THIS YEAR WHEN.”

Another added: “When is it coming back?”

A third shared: “Well just finished season 4 on Netflix….. now time to restart again!!! #PeakyBlinders  can’t wait for more!!!!

“Best programme in a long time!! End of the#inthebleakmidwinter soon then?”

Little is known about the new series, but it has been teased Ada Thorne (Sophie Rundle) could be worried for the future.

First look images showed her glancing over her shoulder in a questionable fashion.

She is dressed to the nines in a fur coat pulled right up to her chin.

Ada finishes her stylish look with a green felt hat and wears her hair in tight curls around her face.

But what could she be looking at that worries her so much?

Peaky Blinders will return soon to BBC One.
