18:30 UPDATE: Why Rabiot chose Juve

Adrien Rabiot has discussed his reasons for joining Juventus amidst interest from Manchester United and Arsenal.

The French midfielder signed for Juventus yesterday on a free transfer.

“Juve are a great club, one that is very prestigious with a lot of history and a European tradition. In my opinion and with all respect, it’s a step up from PSG,” Rabiot said.

“Gianluigi Buffon told me many interesting things about Juventus. He told me that Juve was the best way for me to take a step forwards in my career. A season here is worth more than anywhere else.

“The Champions League doesn’t come overnight. I’m here to help the club win it and achieve other goals. I had the chance to develop playing with superstars.”

18:15 UPDATE: Paulo Dybala split

Manchester United’s recruitment team are split on signing Juventus star Paulo Dybala, according to reports.

The Old Lady hitman struggled in Turin last season following the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid, falling down the pecking order under Massimiliano Allegri.

However, ESPN claim that the United recruitment team is split on whether or not to sign Dybala.

The 25-year-old managed just five league goals for Juventus last season, though, and his form has prompted United into a divide.

But Sky Sports News now claim that Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request with an unnamed Chinese club having made an offer.

17:15 UPDATE: Done Deal – Ndombele signs

Tottenham have signed midfielder Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

Ndombele, 22, is understood to have joined Spurs in a club-record deal which could eventually be worth some £65million.

“We are delighted to announce the signing of Tanguy Ndombele from Olympique Lyonnais,” Spurs said. “The France international central midfielder has signed a contract with the club until 2025.”

The Frenchman is Spurs’ second recruit after they signed winger Jack Clarke from Leeds. Clarke has gone back to the Championship club on loan for the 2019-20 season.

17:00 UPDATE: Alexandre Lacazette hint

Alexandre Lacazette’s agent met with Arsenal chiefs today to discuss the forward’s future at the club, and it looks there’s good news on the horizon for Gunners fans.

Earlier this week, Spanish journalist Manu Lonjon claimed a La Liga side are interested in acquiring the former Lyon hitman’s services.

However, Score Agencies (Lacazette’s agency) teased good news for Gunners fans by updating their Instagram story with a video from inside Highbury House

For those unfamiliar with Highbury House, it’s the venue where Arsenal players traditionally sign contracts.

Shortly after the news of Lacazette’s agent being at Highbury House broke, Lonjon claimed the Frenchman is on the verge of penning a new contract with last season’s Europa League finalists.

He tweeted: “Lacazette’s representative are currently in meetings with Arsenal. Talks about Gunners intentions. No other subject. Contract until 2022.”

16:45 UPDATE: Neymar and Griezmann approval

Ernesto Valverde has approved the signings of both Neymar and Antoine Griezmann this transfer window, reports say.

Barcelona have been linked with moves for Neymar and Griezmann this transfer window as they aim to bounce back from their failure to win the Champions League last season.

With the duo likely to cost around £300million between them, questions have been asked as to whether the La Liga giants really can afford both players.

But Catalan newspaper Sport say Barcelona boss Valverde has approved the sensational double transfer deal.

It is claimed that, after a period of reflection, Valverde has decided his team would be best-off with the two world-class players in their team.

16:30 UPDATE: £50m John McGinn would thrive

Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn would thrive at Old Trafford, says his former St Mirren team-mate Gary Teale.

Manchester United have been linked with a shock move for the Scotland international, who would reportedly cost upwards of £50million.

And Teale doesn’t see why the 24-year-old wouldn’t succeed.

“At first you’re surprised when you see £50 million and Manchester United,” he told the Scottish Sun. “But then you take time to reflect and digest it and there’s nothing to say why he couldn’t go and do it.

“He’s thrived on every chance and there’s no reason to say why, if he got that opportunity at Manchester United, he wouldn’t thrive in that atmosphere.”

Arsenal have signed Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano on a long-term deal.

The 18-year-old, who can play as a second striker or a winger, was signed for a fee in the region of £6million.

“Brazilian forward Gabriel Martinelli is joining us from Ituano Futebol Clube on a long-term contract,” Arsenal said. “The deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.”

The teenager was called up by Brazil manager Tite in May for a training camp ahead of the Copa America but did not make the cut for the final 23-man squad.

16:00 UPDATE: Nabil Fekir bargain

Lyon star Nabil Fekir could be snapped up for just £30million.

But Liverpool aren’t the club linked with the French international.

And now the Mirror claim Arsenal have been offered the playmaker, who has one year remaining on his contract, for a bargain £30million.
