Spider-Man Far From Home end credits scenes: How many are there? Are they any good?

The new Marvel film is the follow-up to Avengers: Endgame, and has been touted as the epilogue to the Infinity Saga.

Tom Holland is seen returning as Peter Parker – aka Spider-Man himself – dealing with the aftermath of (spoiler alert, if you’re one of the few MCU enthusiasts who hasn’t seen Endgame) Tony Stark’s death.

Endgame broke with tradition by not having any end credits scenes at all, even though a half-finished deleted moment was hastily added to them for a divisive re-release last weekend.

So does Spider-Man: Far From Home continue in the same way, or are there credits scenes to wait for?

The answer is the latter – Far From Home DOES have treats nestled in the final acknowledgements.

This caper has TWO scenes: one during the credits, and one after them.

We’ll keep this post spoiler-free, but it’s the mid-credits one that is being billed as the one fans absolutely have to see.

The reason? Let’s just say there’s a surprising character comeback that’s going to have fans of this particular superhero open-mouthed.

The post-credits tag is absolutely worth waiting for too, however – as it puts one particular element of the film into a VERY surprising new context.

Meanwhile, critics’ praise for Far From Home has been quite widespread, even if few have been overwhelmingly positive; with the majorty giving three or four stars out of five.

Rotten Tomatoes has said that 92% of reviews have been positive – and the consensus reads: “A breezily unpredictable blend of teen romance and superhero action, Spider-Man: Far from Home stylishly sets the stage for the next era of the MCU.”

On Metacritic, it has an aggregated score of 69/100, indicating “generally favourable reviews”.

Marvel’s upcoming slate of movies is expected to be revealed once Far From Home is out in the open; starting with Black Widow – which has been in production for several weeks now but has still not been officially announced.

The Eternals and Shang-Chi are also thought to be on the way very soon, along with a Doctor Strange sequel.

Fans are also waiting for a confirmed timeline for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 after James Gunn’s reinstatement.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is out now in the UK.
