Avengers Endgame BACKLASH: Fans rage at ‘unfinished’ deleted scene after re-release

“you’re telling me,,, that the extra scene they added to endgame was,, an UNFINISHED clip of the hulk saving a couple people??? then answering a phone call?? which doesn’t even make any sense???” said one person on Twitter.

“they could have done ANYTHING literally ANYTHING with the amount of footage they have. they could give us bloopers, deleted scenes, but they chose to give us a half assed clip that wasn’t even completely rendered?? why???”

Another posted: “i’m laughing so hard at the fact that hulk was half edited in the endgame re-release post credit scene. god forbid wb release dc content half edited like that, we’d never hear the end of it.”

“Marvel having people go out to the theaters to watch Endgame again just to see this monstrosity,” quipped someone else.

Avengers: Endgame rebounded slightly, boosting to No10 at the US box office.

However it is still around $26 million short, globally, of topping Avatar’s all-time box office record – a possibility that now seems very unlikely.

But the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home this weekend could still give it another small nudge, but now – more than two months after its original cinematic release – another $26 million feels like a very tall order.

Still, part of Avatar’s huge gross came from being re-released long after its original run in theatres – so Endgame could still return for a special occasion some time in the future and take the No1 title.

After Far From Home’s release, Marvel are expected to finally explicitly reveal their plans for the MCU going forward.

The Black Widow solo movie – which has been in production for several weeks now – has still not been properly announced; and nor have Shang-Chi or The Eternals.

Sequels for Doctor Strange and Captain Marvel are also due, along with a concrete date for the third Guardians of the Galaxy caper.

Avengers: Endgame is, for now, still on release.
