Man Utd's Ole Gunnar Solskjaer makes Diogo Dalot, Marcos Rojo and Romelu Lukaku decision

Manchester United boss Solskjaer is currently embarking on a rebuild of his squad following their nightmare Premier League season last term.

The Red Devils started the campaign sluggishly under Jose Mourinho but, when Solskjaer took over, results immediately improved.

Manchester United’s decision to name the 46-year-old their permanent replacement for Mourinho backfired spectacularly, however, with the club winning just two of their final 12 matches across all competitions.

That saw the club finish sixth in the table, missing out on the Champions League qualifying spots in the process.

Solskjaer is now eager to address his squad and has already made two signings in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

And the Evening Standard claim the Norwegian is prepared to offload both Dalot and Rojo this summer.

Dalot was signed by Mourinho from Porto a year ago, with the former United boss adamant he could be the club’s right-back for the next decade.

But, despite the youngster vowing last week to kick on, it appears Solskjaer is reluctant to give him a chance.

With Wan-Bissaka now in the door, Dalot will likely struggle for game-time at right-back.

He appears more comfortable going forward than he does defensively but, despite his offensive traits, a parting of the ways now looks on the cards.

Rojo, after five years at the club, is also available for transfer.

The Argentina international was signed from Sporting Lisbon in 2014, with Louis van Gaal believing he could be a suitable replacement for Rio Ferdinand.

However, Rojo’s time at Old Trafford has been plagued by injuries and inconsistency and it appears Solskjaer is now ready to cut him loose.

The Evening Standard say that Solskjaer would actually like to keep hold of Romelu Lukaku, who is on Inter Milan’s radar.

The Serie A giants have even offered United the likes of Mauro Icardi and Ivan Perisic to part with their star performer.

But Solskjaer will sell Lukaku should Inter come in with an offer of £80million this summer.

The Belgian is eager to play under Antonio Conte at Inter, lauding the former Chelsea boss earlier this month.

“I was always a big fan of the Italian league,” he said.

“People close to me, they know I have two leagues that I always dreamed about – the English league and Serie A.

“So, for me, Serie A is my favourite league as well.

“The transfer of [Cristiano] Ronaldo, the Italian league is now coming back. Now Antonio Conte going to Inter Milan, which is really good because he is, to me, the best manager in the world.”
