Top Gear: Zara Tindall screeches race car off the track in BBC show stunt disaster

In this weekend’s episode of the BBC petrol head programme viewers will be in for a major treat.

In high-octane scenes on the latest Top Gear, Princess Anne’s daughter Zara Tindall takes to the wheel for a go around the race track.

Unfortunately the Olympic winner and equestrian loses control behind the wheel and ends up hurtling off the gravel onto the grass.

Rugby player Mike Tindall, 40, sits in the passenger seat of a Toyota GT86, and the couple appear thrilled as 38-year-old Zara slams on the accelerator.

But the Queen’s granddaughter regrets listening to her husband’s advice on how to operate the vehicle and the duo end up in a hilarious bout of bickering on the BBC programme.

“No lifting, no lifting,” Mike warns, as Zara struggles to keep the car on course.

As they round a corner the race car then spins onto the grass mound next to the track.

“That was your ‘no lifting’,” Zara cries in hysterics.

Mike also has a go at the Reasonably Fast Car segment in the latest episode of the programme, and the couple turn competitive as they go head-to-head against each other.

Zara has said that her family encouraged her to score the better race time, and that she hopes to have beaten horse racing jockey Frankie Dettori on the leaderboard.

He completed the track with a time of 1:47.2 when he gave it a shot in 2017.

Zara and Mike also take part in a Width Restrictor Challenge on the show.
