Sir Tom Jones is known for his iconic hit songs and crooning voice, attracting fans from all walks of life. The singer was married for most of his career to his childhood sweetheart, Melinda Rose Trenchard, known affectionately as Lady Linda. In 2016 Linda died following a “short but fierce“ battle with cancer.

Sir Tom’s, 78, relationship status is unknown, however, he once claimed he had “never had that feeling for anyone else, I don’t think you can fall in love more than once”.
Linda and Sir Tom began dating aged 15 and would meet at a phone box at the end of his street in Treforest as “it would be raining – in Wales, it rains quite a lot”.
The pair married in 1967 aged just 16, and their son Mark was born a few months later.

In a romantic gesture, Sir Tom had the phone box where they would meet flown from Treforest to their home in Los Angeles.
The singer also said Linda was the most important person in his life saying in 2015 Linda was: “An unbelievable woman.
“Linda is the love of my life and she still is, even though she doesn’t look like she did.
“I don’t look like I did, either, but I try my best.”

However, despite his feelings for Linda, Sir Tom was also known for his numerous extra-marital affairs.
He once claimed of his affairs: “I have never kept count.”
Tom has even had high profile affairs, one of them being a two-year fling with Mary Wilson of The Supremes and another with then Miss World Marjorie Wallace.
Cassandra Peterson – better known as Elvira Mistress of the Dark – claimed Tom took her virginity.

The Sex Bomb singer told The Sunday Times Magazine in 2015, how his wife lashed out at him at their home in Los Angeles following the news of his affair with a Miss World hitting tabloids.
Tom was pictured kissing Majorie on a beach in Barbados in 1976.
He said of the moment Linda hit him after discovering his affair with Miss World Majorie Wallace: “I stood there and took it.
“She chinned me. She punched and shouted.”
