Aaron Wan-Bissaka reveals how he feels about joining Man Utd for £50m

Manchester United announced their new signing on Saturday afternoon, and the former Crystal Palace defender has spoken for the first time since being officially unvieled.

The 21-year-old has made the move from Selhurst Park to Old Trafford after a stellar Premier League season that earned him immediate praise.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made Wan-Bissaka his second summer signing after Swansea’s Daniel James, with the Norwegian already making his mark in the window.

“It’s an unbelievable feeling and an honour to call myself a Manchester United player and something I know that only a small number of players have the privilege to say,” Wan-Bissaka told the official United website.

“I can’t wait to get going and integrated into the squad.

“I will have a short break now after the European Championships but I’m looking forward to starting training with the manager and my new team-mates on the pre-season tour.”

Wan-Bissaka and England failed to win a match at the ongoing European Under-21 Championships, but that didn’t put United off, with the club agreeing a five-year-deal with the defender.

Solskjaer gave the reasons behind the transfer alongside the announcement, in which he described the 21-year-old as a “hungry” player.

He said: “Aaron is one of the best upcoming defenders in the Premier League.

“He has the right work ethic, talent and mentality to play for Manchester United and he fits exactly the type of player that we are looking to bring into the squad to help us improve and push on further.

“Aaron is a young, hungry player and eager to learn and that’s important at his age.

“I am delighted he has signed with us and we look forward to continuing his tremendous development so far.”
