Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler ‘rushed to hospital after stabbing HIMSELF’

Steven Adler – the former drummer for global group Guns N’ Roses – was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to his home in Los Angeles.

The publication added paramedics swiftly discovered the drummer had stabbed himself.

They added his injuries are not life-threatening and nobody else was involved.

Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for comment.

Steven shot to fame as the drummer of the rock group alongside Axl Rose and Slash in the 1980s.

He was a member of the group from 1985 to 1990.

At the time, reports claimed Steven was kicked out of the group due to his drug addiction.

Steven has been open about his use of drugs in the past, having appeared on Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew and Sober House.

In 2010, the rocker released his autobiography My Appetite for Destruction: Sex & Drugs & Guns N’ Roses.

Within this, he addressed his addiction and the chronicles of his life with the band.

Two years later, his mother Deanna Adler wrote a book referencing her son’s drug addiction.

Last year, Steven described his mum’s book as “heartfelt” adding: “Now in this book you get an idea of how I was hurting her and what I was doing that affected her.

“Even if your successful or not successful and doing drugs, you are hurting the people that love you the most.”

He added to The Rock Pit: “I know that other people of course and myself, I didn’t wake up in the morning and go, ‘I’m going to go get messed up and high so I can piss my family off and the people that I love’.

“It’s a disease and I still have the disease but I’m not practicing that disease but I’ll still always have it.”

He added of his mother’s perspective: “When you’re in a situation where your son or daughter is an addict, you feel like you’re the only ones and that everybody’s elses kids are perfect and it’s just me and my family but it’s not.

“So it’s a really great book to read and go learn about it.”

The drummer now plays with his own band, Adler’s Appetite, which he founded in 2003.

The group last toured together in Australia last year, performing Guns N’ Roses hits.

Elsewhere, Guns N’ Roses will be continuing their Not In This Lifetime Tour in Autumn.
