The Casa Amor line-up for Love Island 2019 was revealed by ITV at the end of June and includes a number of talented singletons looking for love. One such individual is Dennon Lewis who plies his trade as a professional footballer away from the ITV2 series. With the Casa Amor new boy trying his best to turn heads in the villa, here’s what fans need to know about Dennon’s footballing career.
Who has Love Island’s Dennon Lewis played football for?
Dennon Lewis’ career prior to Love Island 2019 saw him play professional football for a number of teams.
The Casa Amor new boy even told ITV his claim to fame was: “My job.
“Most definitely, 100 percent I’ll want to go back to playing football after I leave the villa.”
Love Island’s Dennon is actually currently contracted to a football team, despite heading into the villa.
Dennon currently plays for Wealdstone FC in the National League South.
CAN LOVE ISLAND STARS SMOKE IN THE VILLA?
The Love Island star’s career began at Premier League club, Watford.
Dennon failed to make a first-team appearance for the Hornets, however, but did impress in the club’s youth academy and under-21 side.
While at Watford, Dennon was loaned out to a handful of lower league teams.
In 2016, the Casa Amor newbie joined Woking in the National League – England’s fifth tier.
Dennon racked up over two dozen appearances for the club, bagging four goals in the process.
After Woking, Dennon was loaned out to Crawley in the EFL League Two.
In 2018, Dennon’s time at Watford came to an end as he signed permanently for Scottish Championship side Falkirk.
HOW MANY WEEKS IS LOVE ISLAND 2019 ON FOR?
Love Island’s Dennon made 16 appearances for the Scottish side before moving back to England this year with Bromley.
In the summer of 2019, Dennon signed a contract with Wealdstone, for whom he’s yet to make his debut.
While Dennon’s used to scoring on the football field, there’s no saying he’ll be as lucky in Casa Amor.
Before entering the villa, however, he has mentioned who he’s got his eye on.
Dennon told ITV: “I have my eye on quite a few of them – Lucie [Donlan]’s very nice. I do like how Maura [Higgins] is turning out to be. She’s really feisty and could be a handful.”
