Weight loss: One woman lost 4st 4lb with this diet plan – what did she eat?

When it comes to losing weight, slimmers can choose from a huge selection of diet and exercise plans to help them on their journey. Some people who have slimmed down already want to show off their results to encourage others to make a similar change. Posting online, the Reddit user “thatteacherlife17” revealed she had lost an impressive 4st 4lb with a structured diet plan. She also explained she had introduced exercise to help speed up her results.

Posting pictures of her before and after losing weight, the slimmer revealed she weighed 15st before starting her journey.

The 34-year-old also said she is 5ft 5in which meant she used to have the BMI of 35, classing her as obese.

During the weight loss process, which took nine months, she slimmed down to a healthy 10st 10lb.

What’s more, she has managed to maintain this low weight for the last three months.

“thatteacherlife17” explained she followed a keto diet plan and added in weight training in the last couple of months to transform her body.

What did she eat?

To shape up, she followed the low-carb keto diet which requires slimmers to eat less than 20 grams net carbs a day and instead eat foods high in fat and with moderate protein.

The Reddit user explained: “In the beginning I ate as many calories as I wanted and got used to keto foods and lifestyle. The first month was the hardest. I did not workout and didn’t buy any specialty keto stuff.

“I slowly started counting macros after that and only last month began working out. I don’t really go over my carbs – I really don’t miss them anymore – but do occasionally over indulge calorie wise.”

Keto-Friendly foods include meat, fish, cheese, yogurt, nuts and vegetables.

The slimmer explained the diet may not be for everyone, but it worked very well for her.

She said: “I would suggest looking into low carb and doing some research into the various diets that exist.

“Keto is not for everyone but the biggest benefit – at least for me – is I don’t feel hungry and have so much energy.”

For those who do not want to follow a structured diet plan, snacking more regularly could be the secret to slimming down.

Eating low-carb snacks between meals could stop slimmers from overindulging or being tempted by unhealthy treats, an expert claimed.

Finding an enjoyable exercise will also help keep dieters motivated so they can reach their weight loss goals.
