Amanda Holden: 'It's difficult' Jenni Falconer speaks out on co-star's new Heart FM role

Jenni Falconer, 43, spoke out about Amanda Holden’s stint on the Heart FM Breakfast Show, which she has now been at the helm of for a few weeks. The presenter, who chats to the Britain’s Got Talent judge every morning after she hosts the Early Breakfast Show on the station, admitted the slot can be “difficult”. However, Jenni was full of praise for Amanda, who took charge of the show with Jamie Theakston, 48, just after Emma Bunton, 43, took a step back from the role in December last year. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she said: “She’s [Amanda] brilliant, I don’t think she’s done radio before but she sounds great, she’s come with loads of fresh stories.

“Sometimes it’s quite difficult when you do a radio job to come up with fresh ideas and fresh content so if someone new is there they’ve always got tones of ideas.”

The ITV favourite continued: “I’ve known Amanda for years, my husband worked with her in a show called Cutting It.

“They acted together and did drama together so I’ve known her for a long time. She’s lovely and great fun.”

Jenni also took the opportunity to address the Ofcom complaints from viewers due to the revealing outfits Amanda wore on Britain’s Got Talent this year.

Dismissing the controversy, the TV and radio personality exclaimed: “She looks amazing, her body is to die for.

“She is wearing a dress, she’s not wearing no clothes.

“I thought she looked great. I know there were some sheer areas on her dress but she looks fantastic. She clearly works hard to look like that.”

Aside from her work on Heart FM, Jenni is currently focusing on her golfing prowess as she entered this year’s Celebrity Cup sponsored by Bulmers at Celtic Manor.

The athletic presenter first took up the sport last year before taking part in the star-studded 2018 tournament.

Opening up about her experience with the sport, Jenni said: “There’s always something about standing up at the first tee with a crowd around you and everyone is waiting to see where you hit that ball the first time.

“Last year I did that and I had a few weeks golfing experience under my belt so I was terrified.

“I think maybe this year I won’t be as scared as last year but you can’t ever get over those nerves because it’s quite a big ordeal.”

The This Morning regular often shares snaps of her progress as she works on her golfing skills with pals.

Earlier this week, Jenni posted a triumphant photo of herself with a golf club in hand , in view of her 138,000 Instagram followers.

She captioned the picture: “The celebratory ball-in-hole dance! #lovegolf #girlswhogolf.”

The Celebrity Cup is taking place at Celtic Manor on July 13-14.
