(Reuters) – Philadelphia Energy Solutions overnight pre-paid some employees vacation compensation in advance of anticipated layoffs and the expected closure of its 335,000-barrel-per-day refinery complex, according to sources familiar with the plans.
The company is expected to seek closure of the plant following a Friday fire that ripped through the complex, shutting most of its production. The company has not commented on the plans.
