Rylan Clark-Neal slammed co-stars before Amanda Holden and Phillip Schofield feud emerged

Rylan Clark-Neal, 30, hinted at his own experience of a behind-the-scenes drama in a resurfaced interview where the presenter spoke candidly about his colleagues. The former Big Brother host addressed his co-stars lack of manners behind-the-scenes working on television, months before Amanda Holden, 48, and Phillip Schofield’s, 57, feud made the headlines again. In an interview with Closer magazine in March, Rylan said certain colleagues “talked to people like s**t”. Rylan told the publication: “People always ask me if I’m best friends with everyone I work with in telly – but no, not everyone you work with is your friend.

“What’s the point of pretending you’re mates with everyone? I think I got where I have because of the way I treat everyone.”

He added: “Some of the people I work with talk to people like s**t, but I treat the runner on my TV shows exactly the same as I do the executive producers.”

Rylan’s comments have resurfaced as it’s been revealed that Phillip and Amanda, who worked on This Morning together, have been feuding for months.

It comes after reports last year suggested the Heart Radio DJ had claimed Phillip had ruined her chances of securing the top presenting job on This Morning and felt she missed out on the role because he had branded her “difficult to manage”.

It has now been claimed the Britain’s Got Talent judge headed to discuss the situation with ITV bosses after Phillip “pushed” for Rochelle Humes to get the job hosting alongside him when Holly went in the jungle.

According to The Sun Online, Amanda had already been told she had the job before the chance was taken away, in what she deemed was a campaign from Phillip.

A former daytime TV executive told the publication: “Phillip actively campaigned for Rochelle Humes to get the job despite Amanda being more experienced — and having been told privately she’d got the gig.

“She feels Phil unfairly used his powers of persuasion. She was told he’d chosen Rochelle because she was easier to ‘manage’ on air – and understandably that incensed her.”

The This Morning host Phillip has since taken to social media to address the “hurtful reports”.

He wrote: “The end of another really sad weekend. When you try for 35 years to be the easiest, most fun person to work with and you read such hurtful and wildly untrue stories from nameless ‘sources’.”

“Obviously I’ll take it on the chin. I just hope you know me better [sic].”

Meanwhile, on today’s edition of Amanda’s Heart radio show, the former actress, revealed she tried to go for a coffee with the This Morning host in an attempt of a peace offering but he declined her invitation.

Speaking to her co-host Jamie Theakston, Amanda said: “I’ve moved on from it, Jamie, you need to move on from it.”

He replied: “You might have moved on but I just wanted to know, is there anymore to the story?”

Amanda added: “I did offer to meet him for a coffee months ago, he didn’t reply to my text. What can I say?”

Jamie noted: “The olive branch had been extended.”
