Emmerdale spoilers: Viewers spot awkward blunder as Max shoots Jessie dingle

Max (played by Jordan Reece) held Billy Fletcher’s (Jay Kontzle) family hostage in tonight’s instalment of Emmerdale as the gangster attempted to seek his revenge on Billy, but viewers couldn’t help but notice something odd about the situation.

The villain managed to sneak into Billy’s family home and threatened Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), April (Amelia Flanagan), and Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) with a gun after Billy had tried to set Max up.

Billy agreed to take part in a robbery with Max to get him out of his family’s life for good but secretly he planned to never go through with it and intended on telling the police everything.

However, his plan backfired and Billy ended up putting his family’s life in danger as Max decided to take his revenge on those closest to Billy.

But fans were surprised to see the entire family home considering Max had snuck into the house during the middle of the day.

Marlon explained that he had returned home because he had injured himself at a football match but fans wondered why Jessie wasn’t at school.

One tweeted: “Why was Jessie even home? I thought she was a head mistress in a school? #Emmerdale.”

Another remarked: “#Emmerdale For the first time ever, Jessie wishes she went to work.”

“Was Jessie on a teacher training day or something? #Emmerdale,” questioned a third.

Some fans were quick to point out that it seems Jessie rarely attends her place of work and is often seen during the day on the ITV soap.

One added: “If Jessie dies will the kids at her school even notice seeing as she’s never there? #Emmerdale.”

“Jessie has now got more excuses for taking time off school #emmerdale,” joked a second.

Despite threatening Billy’s family with a gun, some viewers were less than convinced by Max’s attempt to come across as a gangster.

One said: “Max is really not the scariest person is he? #Emmerdale,” and another wrote: “Max has to be the least scary gangster in the world! Those faces he’s pulling are hilarious! #Emmerdale.”

A third remarked: “Max isn’t the sharpest pencil in the box is he #emmerdale.”

Elsewhere, Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) baby could be taken by rapist Lee Posner in a savage custody battle.

Victoria was tragically assaulted by Lee after Emmerdale’s Big Night Out and The Woolpack chef made the brave decision to keep her baby.

In an exclusive interview with Express.co.uk, Rebecca Calden-Storr a Managing Partner and Laura-Faye Trainor a Solicitor at Stowe Family Law about Victoria’s upcoming struggles.

Discussing whether Lee would try and seek custody of the child, they said: “In a real-life scenario it is extremely unlikely that Lee would have contact with the child.

“By virtue of his actions, he is a significant risk to Victoria and the child.”
